Unusual location, and an industrial estate in Walkergate is maybe not the first place you'd consider when going for a drink.

However - this place is really good. The food from a company called 'Smoke & Sear' is well worth a visit. You can pre order the food online before you visit.

Of course, great beer too.

This review is about Almasty's Y.V 2 Hybrid Pale ale, which is an absolute triumph. Best Pale I've tasted in a long time. Wonder what the hops are?

A cracking little brewery initiated and administered by Mark McGarry, owner and brewer of a host of wonderful ales that my mates and I were honoured to sample at the last brewery open day way back in May. The ales are to be found at many of the finest ale houses throughout the Newcastle area, North East and in some cases, a little further afield. I recommend you get yourselves wrapped around ALL of them. Though perhaps not all at one sitting. Apply responsible drinking!!

I purchased a 72 pont keg of RED IPA at 6.1% from Almasty for our christmas party. This was the right move as it went down a treat, a good clear ale that left no next day hangover, it certainly gets our vote. A first class brew Mark spot on

One of the very best breweries in the north of England, holding regular open days with street food, music, and the freshest beer money can buy!

Good place but when it gets cold there is no indoor space (there is but it is just open). Meat van is also great.
