Sick of poor quality milk from the supermarkets and them ripping off the farmers who work so hard for little reward, I decided to go back to using the traditional milkman. Made my first order and subscription yesterday (09-03-23) and my delivery was at my door first thing this morning, even in the midst of the heaviest snowfall for 2 years. Great quality milk, amazing fresh bread and quality double cream (I churn my own butter so freshness is paramount). Alkmonton Dairy is an absolute God Send in the Dales area. Particularly as some residents are completely cut off and have no local shop to "pop" to. The fast turn around of one time orders makes this a unique and essential service.

I love supporting local producers/ small businesses. Milk is good, delivery chap friendly. Reason for 3 star is mainly for poor customer service. As the company is expanding they need someone who can answer your queries- specially when the owner is on holidays and the scheduled(paid) milk delivery does not happen + you don’t get refund.

Fantastic honesty shop, so handy to have somewhere nearby to pick up essentials when we live so far from the shops, and great selection of products.
The owners are so lovely and even let my son see the calves in the barn, which he loved.
