Visiting Bourne from Scotland Alec Day Butchers recommended by my daughter, purchased 4 venison steaks £18.00 nice gentleman went to the freezer, asked when he came back for 4 Swordfish off he went back to the freezer ? sorry about that he just smiled purchased all for a very reasonable price change out of £35.00? Noticed they sold homemade pork scratchings £1.30 very large bag, I commented that it was good to see a Butchers Block actually not only in the shop but being used, needed shaved reshaped yet in very good nick, would've could've done it for you if I lived local. Should have taken photos of block wanted to. Both items were top quality food best butchers I've visited would go again and again but don't live locally, hopefully locals use this Butcher if not why not you should be ?
Finally managed to get a packet of Pork Scratchings the best I've ever eaten.

I popped in last week after my friend messaged me asking If i knew of anywhere he could get some t-bone steaks, I sed I'll give the butchers a ring and find out. Well they had them so I got him 2 and 2 hock of hams as well. The steaks looked beautiful, and i was told by my friend they tasted great as well. He was over the moon with the hocks, he had been wanting some for a while and was able to introduce his mrs to it at long last. Great service great produce and great value. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Bad experience... listen, butcher man. I asked you a question for a reason. I have chronic vasculitis. My food choices are imperative. I asked if the beef was grass raised, i was told "yes" by yourself. You then sharply exited, leaving me with the assistant. Ater consuming this beef for 3 days or so, I can tell you for a fact it is not grass raised. Because I can barely walk. Grain fed meat causes inflammation. Grass fed does not. How dare you lie to a customer. Of course I won't be back.
