I absolutely love love love Adi's South London Mushroom Club!
Not only do you get to explore lots of fun mushroom themed activities like mushroom identification or lino printing mushroom designs but you also get to meet a bunch wonderful and kind people. Thanks so much Adi for getting a community together who love geeking out on mushrooms as much I do. Looking forward to the next one and the next one after that!

Great workshop! Learned a lot. Adi is very friendly and is very passionate at what he does. I made a mushroom growing bucket & took it home and hopefully it will have some lovely Blue King Oyster mushrooms growing out of it in a few weeks time!

I had a great harvest & a super tasty meal ?
It took a bit longer than expected but it worked!!!

Adi was a wonderful host and took us through some of the magical spots for mushroom foraging. It was a lovely afternoon of informal learning, hands-on finding and a lot of laughter. A fantastic excursion for a first time forager. I will definitely be going again.

I attended the mushroom picking walk with Adi together with my 8 year old daughter and I cannot recommend it enough. Adi first introduced mushroom groups to us with real specimen and then took us for a walk in the forest where everyone could find some mushrooms if our own. Really enjoyed it and so did my daughter.

What a marvelous experience visiting Adi’s mushroom laboratory at the Remakery in South East London. The workshop aimed to create a Petri dish with growing mycelium, which I will use for an upcoming art project. One room had various mushroom species growing, while the other was a laboratory for cultivating mycelium and spores.

Firstly, we had to make the agar mixture for the Petri dish by mixing and then pressurizing the sugars, which the mycelium feeds on. After we let this cool down, we returned to the lab to fill the dishes. It was very technical to prevent bacteria and spores existing in the air from potentially contaminating the specimen.

I then cut a triangle out of a pre-grown mycelium, slicing through the soft hyphae strands. I carefully placed the piece into my petri dish. Adi then had to seal it using medical tape, and I was to put it in the fridge when I got home.

When asked about mycelium, Adi mentioned that it can be put through a blender and will still be able to grow, sparking so much curiosity and wonder at the world of fungi. I had a fantastic time being a part of this process, and thank you Adi for letting me keep a piece of magic. I can’t wait to come back!

I had a wonderful time on one of Adi's beginners' foraging walks. Adi was thorough in his introduction, approachable and patiently answered all our questions throughout the walk. He kept it fun and interactive throughout. All in all: a brilliant and educational day out in nature. I can highly recommend Adi's walks for anyone interested in foraging and in mushrooms in general.

I did a mushroom foraging course with Adi which was super fun. We had a great day, learned about mushrooms, found plenty of them, and took some home. I would highly recommend it. I’ve also tried the mushroom growing kit. It’s an amazing experience watching the tiny creatures grow.
