Appalling customer service. Received Pataks products with machine grease / oil on the inside of plastic sealed packaging. Sent an email with images to customer services. waited 3 weeks - no reply whatsoever. Tried to call, but number wont connect on a mobile or landline. tried omitting the 0 and got through to a garage. Totally unable to make contact. Produce is now in the bin. Wont buy again. Seems that Pataks dont care about the quality of their product or their customer service !

On Friday 2nd December I cooked with one of AB World Foods Patak Punjabi Tikka Masala 3 step sauces, which as you would expect you get a bit of a splash out of the pan onto the cooker, however unlike the majority of these sauces it is recommended you add 50ml of water to the mix, this somehow created an unprecedented watery mess and steam across the hob, floor and into the extractor fan. When wiping the sauce off the front surface of my cooker it somehow not only stained the enamel but removed the printed markers, while the extractor fan was spitting out yellow liquid, when I opened up the fan to remove the 3 week old filter it was absolutely stained yellow/orange .

I regularly cook and with strong coloured spices, fairly regularly change the filter in the extractor fan and keep both hob and extractor fan surfaces clean, I ended up spending my Saturday taking the extractor fan off the wall and dismantling to clean the residue, while having to use an abrasive enamel surface cleaner to remove the yellowing from the front of my hob which inevitably removed more of the printed markers. Today 8 days on, the smell is still in the air, no matter how many times I clean or however many candles I burn.

I emailed the above along with images to AB World Foods on Sunday who on the Monday asked me for my home address. this morning I received a letter:

We are writing in connection with your recent email.

We were very sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience. We have spoken with our New Product Development team who have advised that after constant testing, have never experienced this with this product, therefore we are unable to ascertain how this may have occurred.

Please accept the enclosed recipe book which we would like you to accept as a gesture of goodwill.

Yours sincerely....

Now seeing this is a New product and it is likely being cooked in a professional kitchen you are likely to be using easy to clean stainless steel cookers and surfaces with large industrial extractor fans, plus with the amount of cooking going on you will always get smells, basically nothing like a home kitchen setup...

I advise that if you are to purchase this sauce do be sure not to use your extractor fan and keep the windows open for several days, that is of course if you don't mind the painted areas of your hob being simply wiped off clean...

Bhuna sauce. .. yuck! I normally make my own curry sauces, but on occasion have little time to do this. Today was one of those occasions. To say the sauce was disgusting is an understatement, it was rancid. No taste, just chemicals burning the inside of my mouth. Pataks, listen, please remove this rancid and disgusting product from your range. Or at least try and change it.

I wrote to Customer Services at ABWorld foods on 4 March 2017, complaining about the lack of spice (Chili) in a Dopiaza sauce bought from Asda. I received no reply. I complained again on 2 April 2017, again a sauce bought from Asda, this time a Rogan Josh sauce. Once again there was no chili in the sauce. Both sauces were bland. I have received no acknowledgement to my emails to customer service. I can only conclude that ABWorld foods don't care about their customers

I have tried both the anchovy relish and the poachers pate and all I could taste was salt,as i come from abig family in the countryside we have always had fresh pates of all kinds ,but neither of these should even of been classed as a pate or a relish but they could be classed as a salt lick.very very dissapointed not worth the money.
