Myself and my wife recently moved to Hertford from London and needed some building work to our new house (full electric change, new central heating system and pipes, some internal walls removed and re-instated, downstairs toilet removed, plastering, etc).

Nello and Sab were fantastic throughout. When they did their site visit, they understood what we needed and gave us more time and feedback than anyone else, their quote was on the lower side, they were straight about costs and stuck to what they said when our final bill came, and managed to complete the job ahead of time, just before Christmas which was really appreciated!

We had to ask for a few extras once they’d started, and a few issues cropped up unexpectedly (unknown hole and leak in the roof, etc), but Nello understood our budget and used his contacts to get the jobs done at a fraction of the cost than if I’d booked them myself privately.

Coming from London you get used to overpriced, bad service and it was a breath of fresh air to have some good, professional and honest guys working on our house and the quality of the work was great.

I’d thoroughly recommend A and S Building Company to any of my friends and will use them again.
