first time there two weeks ago,lived in wirral all my 65 years shame on me.
Stunning stesk pies pork and black pudding bangers and shin beef that did literally melt in the mouth.

Athough I live in Wirral, I'm not local to the town. However, some things are worth driving for; this butcher's shop is one of those. Their produce is of an excellent standard and this is one of those rare places south of the border, that sells Stornoway black pudding.

I have just brought my first pie, a steak one and it was absolutely lovely. So tasty and the pastry was spot on. It took me back to childhood and home made cooking. The staff were very nice and friendly too. See you soon ! .

The best butcher anywhere. Scrupulously clean. They wash hands frequently as they are serving. The meat products are second to nonehere. Great meat pies, cooked meats, beautifully tasting ready prepared stir fries and cooked meats as well as quality bottled goods such as lemon curd and apple sauce etc. Always have a laugh and joke here and an absolute pleasure to shop at Roberts shop. Quality and recommended totally.

I called in after a recommendation from a couple in Hoylake, they recommended the sausage rolls and pies, I bought one off each, very tasty sausage roll, the pie was full off meat lovely pastry as well,
Next time I'm in town I will be back
