Stayed here for two nights and would have loved to stay longer! We stayed in the 'North View' apartment and it was perfect. Two bedrooms, bathroom and open plan kitchen and living room. Everything was perfect, very clean, quiet and comfortable...had great sleeps here. Janet was on hand for any help or info, lovely woman. Two minute walk to the town where there's a nice choice of shops, restaurants, etc. Will definitely be back and highly recommended....thanks for a great stay!

I usually stay at the hotel in the town of Leek, which was always accommodating, but for this trip I was a little short on funds. I discovered The most wonderful place to stay called the Hatcheries! It is truly a hidden gem in the town! Very high praise for care I was given. I have a disability and Janet, the owner, went above and beyond to be sure I had no problems with my stay. She even Took me grocery shopping and gave me a tour of the beautiful sites and countryside of Leek. | I plan to return next year and stay for three weeks!

A quiet and cosy little place, beautifully situated, close to the town centre yet with stunning country views. Family run, the owner Janet seems to care deeply about the experience of her guests. Great value for money. Cannot fault a thing. Lovely stay.

Excellent accommodation, clean, comfortable and quiet, despite being very close to the town centre. Janet, our host, was very friendly, helpful and well-organised and made us feel welcome. We stayed in two different apartments: The North View apartment has two bedrooms (one double, one single), each with its own washbasin in addition to the bathroom, and is a bit more secluded, the Park View apartment has an ensuite family bedroom, a nice view to the Roaches and its own south-facing porch. Both have a living room/kitchen with everything we needed. Mobile phone reception is better in the Park View apartment - we used a mobile broadband router since there is no WiFi, which worked fine in both (Three seemed to have the best coverage). Leek itself has several large supermarkets, most of them in walking distance to the Hatcheries, and quite a number of pubs and tearooms in the town centre. Access to the Peak District is also excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

We have just returned from a weekend in Leek to hear our son and his fiancรฉes banns being read in St Edwards church. The Hatcheries is a perfect location for the town and an ideal base. The weather forecast for Friday was for snow, Janet the proprietor kept me informed of the weather during the morning before our arrival. The accommodation exceeded our expectation from the location to the comfiness of the living area and spacious bedroom. We will definitely be returning
