Went for breakfast this morning at 11am. Ordered roll with sausages and scrambled eggs on toast. Stood in line for coffee foe ages as only 1 girl serving although queue had about 15 customers. 1 girl on till. Took ages to get served. I went to find a table and food arrived before hubby had got coffees and paid for it.
Food was OK but eggs a bit dry having been under lights.
Service slow and not a smile in sight. Tables weren't cleared so customers had to clear them before sitting down. Need a change of management to get service up to an acceptable standard as clearly present management don't have a clue.

However Dobbies do have a lovely garden centre.

It's time for the Dobbies Café to have a defibrillator breathe some new life into it. We visited yesterday. They'd ran out of milk in the self service coffee machine. I asked a member of staff to kindly refill it. I was told to queue and get my coffee when I was just about to pay. My friend's coffee has already gone cold by the time we did pay. The staff are so slow. Not enough staff actually working and a weird vibe from one of them when I asked where the toilet was. The toilet was down a corridor (no signage). It was filthy! No way would I return to this cafe. The staff really don't care and clearly the management nor company do either. Go elsewhere..... as in Longpark Farm Cafe, which is just at the back of Dobbies.

Decent sized garden centre just outside monifieth.
Plenty of selection and a huge outdoor area with garden furnishings/plants etc.

It’s also dog friendly.

I stopped in at the cafe which is decent sized and decided to go for sausages and mash (with mash swapped for chips). The food was nice enough and presented well, but I can’t help think it was expensive for what it was given it’s not cooked to order (c. £12).

Visited the cafe here, Wednesday 12th February.
A 10 minute wait for baked potatoes became nearly an hour, by which time we gave up and got a refund. This is poor. Needs overhaul of service system and better management oversight. Reading reviews here confirms not a one off.

More than just the name. It’s not just a place that sells plants and stuff for the garden but it’s a lovely place to buy something nice and special, good butcher, lovely cafe and more. Will definitely be back for the food and some shopping. Christmas decorations for the home and gifts are all set up in store now in October.

Waited in the queue for 19mins to get 2 coffees. One young girl left to get hot drinks and do the till. She was working her socks off!!! 3 staff members chatting and appeared to be doing very little....AND they could see the queue!!
This is not a one off either.Needs a new manager to organise the staff better.

Having just stopped off here whilst travelling for a snack, we found the Cafe service very slow, with a long queue.
A visit to the ladies' toilets was very disappointing. Myself and another lady found no soap in dispensers, no toilet roll in the dispensers and a low standard of hygiene.
I requested to speak with the store manager. Sadly the young man who went to help with my request was sent back to me to ask that I report my issues to him.
I did try to avoid posting a negative review, but, if the Management is unwilling to listen to valid feedback then I've been left with no alternative.
The other lady stayed to verify my account to the Management too.
