Spent 3 months as inpatient, including Christmas. Staff throughout the hospital were wonderful- ward staff were hardworking, friendly and always striving to do their best to give a good level of care despite challenges within lack of funding, equipment / adequate staffing. Always felt that they were genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and listened to both myself, my family and carer. Staff in shop and cafe were also really friendly and caring. A much, much better experience than at Lincoln Hospital!

Where does one begin?!
Parking is abysmal too few disabled spaces and the rest of the carpark can only be likened to a war zone. All but impossible to navigate in a wheelchair or mobility scooter
Next the toilets yes they are acceptably clean but not enough space to swing a cat In The disabled one I used. The sliding door needed a weight lifter to close it. Unfortunately the toilet in the department was not so clean
Now. Let’s get to the department there was a lovely volunteer that told us where to go, from there it was a complete fiasco. The Vascular and urology department are through the same doorway. No reception but signs saying wait to be called by one of the team!! What team they are all at lunch!! While I appreciate that everyone is entitled to a break surely not all together!!
There are no signs showing which way is vascular or urology. The corridor seating area was obviously having issues with a fly infestation! Finally after siting for over 30 minutes we ignored the sign saying to wait and made our way to another very full waiting area, still not seen a human to book in! Finally saw (in passing) an Exceptional rude uncaring staff member who when asked how to book in was told sit and wait, one gentleman had been in this waiting area for over 1.5 hours sitting and waiting to see someone. We were eventually seen after returning to the reception, that was now manned, and finally managed to check in. The lady who did the scans and tests was brilliant, very knowledgeable and kind.
All in all the ongoing building site which I know was in operation in 2007 is still ongoing in 2025.
One can only wish they were using a wrecking Ball to demolish the whole hospital and start again with a new building and some new staff

I was in A&E with my wife last night again from 10 pm until 5 am how is this still acceptable? A senior nurse came into the waiting room and told everybody at 12:30 pm there were 80 paitients waiting for treatment and we were unlikely to see a doctor for at least 8 hours. You cannot fualt the staff they are doing their best . But something has to change it is getting worse.

After a bad fall end of March, I was operated on my wrist 3/4/25. I cannot thank Dr Singh and Dr Mian and their orthopaedic team enough. They have given me excellent care for 6 months. A big thanks to all staff that cared for me during my operation too.

I was referred to the respiratory department over 5 years ago with breathing difficulties which whilst not life- threatening were nonetheless making it impossible for me to do any exercise without getting hopelessly breathless. Over that time, I have seen a specialise 4 times (!!) and each time been sent for tests (the same ones repeatedly). On each occasion, the clinician carrying out the tests has been unable to perform some of the tests because they felt that they would be "dangerous" and promised to report this back to the specialist "personally". It has been 15 months since my last appointment and finally I received a date for a "telephone consultation"!! Today, that was cancelled and I was informed that I had been put back on the waiting list. Whilst I know that the NHS is broken, I think this is somewhat extreme and the impact on the quality of my life has been severe, since I am unable to do anything physical. The "specialists" claim to be able to find nothing wrong with me despite the very obvious symptoms and the feedback from the clinician attempting to perform the tests. Absolutely hopeless and incompetent!

Ive read the reviews and by christ this hospital hasnt changed in over 20+ years i lost my nan in here from cancer of the oesophagus. She wasnt looked after at all she said that the staff was abusive and mistreated her she was 85 years old. And to leave her medical notes on her bedside then for her to say theres no point living any more. You call yourself nurses you should hang your heads in shame shame on you your a disgrace.
After reading reviews that its happened to other people and who have dies due to lack of duty of care it just sums it up what sort of hospital this really is. Unbelievable. I am ashamed.

I went in with a suspected stroke. I was only in the waiting room a few minutes when I was taken to a ward. I was quickly sent for an ECG and a CT scan. Staff were friendly, acted fast and very helpful and I cannot thank them enough. I was then blue lighted to the Lincoln hospital. Friendly and helpful staff again. Everyone I spoke to was impressed with the service I had received. Thank you NHS . Service was excellent.

Very impressed with staff helpful friendly hardworking the place was very clean . I can’t fault any staff member they were all wonderful and mum had first class care . Thankyou for taking such good care of my mum .
