Bought 2 x 100ltrs of Bark- went to collect them from the yard where we were waiting for 10 minutes, to be told they’re sold out. Went back into the shop to purchase 2 x 90ltrs instead, which was more expensive. Staff were quick to dismiss any opportunity to price match. Manager shouted out from the back “No” without even hearing the situation - he was very abrupt and rude. Highly recommend avoiding this shop. Went to Kitts Green up the road who were cheaper and more friendly.

Was hoping to buy several things yesterday, I had chosen a chainsaw, a lawn mower already. My shop would have come to £3500 with all the fencing I needed too. I needed the toilet so I put the things I chose to one side then found a member of staff to ask where the toilet was. She said there was no toilets to use for customers and advised to go to the petrol station down the road. I did what she said and I shopped elsewhere! Absolute disgrace no bogs! This shop already took me an hour to choose what I had. Stay away from here, shop at places that provide for customers when they get caught short.

I'm STUNNED at the IGNORANCE!
Mole country store and timber yard , just outside Berkeley is the most basically inept and incompetent timber yard anyone could imagine! I personally waited for over twenty minutes for a simple price on some timber, and even going back and forth to the yard measuring and photographing each piece of wood I wanted to buy, I still didn't have a price after a full twenty minutes!
I than simply asked the rather confused assistant serving me "How long does it take you guys to price an order, it's been nearly half an hour?"
At that point another assistant came over and said "it's difficult!" although I can't see how staff at a lumber yard find it difficult to price just four items within twenty minutes.
I said "I have to get on, I'll call back. in later on when you have a price" ...At that point the assistant said these exact words to me in a highly aggressive way, and I quote hime verbatim, he said;
"Don't bother coming back, I don't want you back here ever"
totally bemused I gave up and just left.
just about a minute later INCREDIBLY when driving from their yard, the same assistant jeered and gestured at me from the shop front as I drove out!
These are some seriously inept, aggressive, male staff, manning a highly dysfunctional timber yard here, with little or no idea how to price their items or how to serve customers. I usually use 'Aldridges timber yard' for My timber and would recommend that people use them rather than "Mole country stores" as they are only two minutes away right in Berkeley, Aldridges know the price of their products, help you load it , and aren't aggressive and abusive. I'm absolutely stunned by the behaviour I experienced at Mole country store today, and in response to the most aggressive sales assistant I've ever encountered; ''Fear not, I have no intention of ever returning to this awful place''. I am Absolutely disgusted with them on every level. DISGRACEFUL SERVICE AND DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I was assisted by a charming young man named Gareth on Wednesday, he went above and beyond to accommodate us with all of our needs and was even helpful enough to assist with carrying items such as concrete and wood. 10/10 service from a 10/10 guy who was nothing but polite and knowledgeable from the second we entered THE Mole valley. Would love to visit again, primarily for the reason above, well done Gareth

This morning I was most impressed by a young assistant called Gareth. What a lovely young man - friendly, polite and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - he even stayed with us to make sure we were safe in the yard - then carried my heavy pot to the checkout. Thank you, Gareth

I have used Moles for years and have always found them to be a wonderful store with excellent customer service and reasonable prices. I live near to the branch and regularly buy poultry corn and other items and have bought Christmas Trees every year for the last ten years. Today I bought a beautiful 7ft Nordman Non-Drop Christmas Tree and Gareth who works at the Berkeley store was so kind and friendly he made the entire experience a joy despite the bitter weather. Gareth even put the tree into my car. What a fantastic store with amazing staff! Highly recommend. An easy 5 stars!

Great place to buy timber and hardware such as gate hinges. Friendly staff and competitive prices. I always find the website a struggle, but maybe that's just me, but a phone call works wonders.
