I attended a beekeeping experience for a birthday gift. Dan was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The experience was very interactive, with clear instructions on how to safely open the hives, remove and inspect each frame before putting them back. The colonies were very calm and I felt safe throughout. I learnt so much and enjoyed seeing the fascinating world of the bees. They are amazing. I loved it!

We contacted Dan from Radiance Honey yesterday, soon after a swarm of bees had came to our garden and started settling. We did not know much about bees or their behaviour but it is a common knowledge that they are threatened by our modern way of living therefore we were looking for ways to help them.

Based on our brief research, we understood that the best option would be to find someone who wants them, a beekeeper who has the right equipment and practical experience. To my surprise, I realised that many people still view bees as a pest so they offer paid services to kill them rather than save them, so when Dan said that he would come, have a look and take the bees we were thrilled.

Dan is passionate about what he does, and we found his knowledge and manner inspiring. He handled the bees with patience and respect and they quickly found a way into the box he had brought with him. He allowed a few hours until they worked their way into it, minimising the stress for them.
