When we arrived we had to phone as reception was closed , a young man came very quickly & booked us in . He was friendly & explained the site . We parked on the front area on hard standing which was gravel . Only 3 vans in this area but lots of caravans in the hight area . Site has showers & toilets which are cleaned daily & water was hot . Just a shame the bar & entertainment was not open as there is any much to do in this area except walk to the beach . Pubs & fish & chip shop closed Mondays but thankfully the Royal Oak was open & served very nice food . |This site is ok if you want piece & quiet

We stayed in fossil cottage and it was absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked with basic utensils but ample for cooking while on holiday (the addition of a butter dish was a nice touch, do love proper butter on toast) the utilities like the washing machine and dishwasher worked well and the underfloor heating was amazing for drying shoes overnight!|The owners were very sweet and friendly especially to my children one of which is neurodivergent, they were very patient when he was talking to them.|The bathroom was a little tricky for my 6ft husband though as it has a steep sloping roof against the shower, he bumped his head a couple times getting in and out, not a problem for anyone about 5ft though.|The pool was clean and well maintained its just a shame it was only open 10am-1pm so we only used it a couple times preferring to get out and about early instead but it was early in the season so maybe it'll be open longer in summer?|The beach was an easy 10min walk away but the tides are vicious so always check beforehand and be safe.|We did hear some strange noises in the cottage at night that sounded like walking up and down the stairs and the kitchen light clicked on and off on it own occasionally but speaking to one of the owners he said it used to be a milking shed before being rebuilt so perhaps it was a cow? I quite like the idea of a ghostie bessie in the cottage 😂

Lovely place, lovely owners, we have stayed lots of times both in our motorhome with access to the disabled facilities and in thier dog friendly cottages, the fact the bar and takeaway are closed makes it quieter with less screaming kids or drunk parents, a plus point from us, the amazing Fossil collecting beach nearby makes it unique, and the friendly and helpfull family who run everything makes it a perfect place to stay, the people who leave bad reviews because it too dark at night need to buy a better torch...its camping ffs.

We’ve stayed here a few times, a lovely quiet well kept site. Family run with a lot of people pitched for the season who are also friendly.

A great place to stay for exploring the area, and they also accommodate for large groups of people. What more could you want.

There’s a great on site pool as well as large grass areas and a football pitch nearby for kids.

What has happened to this once thriving, busy, well cared for holiday site!? |We attempted to visit today while staying nearby, we used to come here most seasons some years ago. ||What a shock to see everything closed, no bar, no cafe, no shop, absolutely nothing. It’s the peak season, school holidays and this place is certainly not going to be gaining custom when everything is closed. It used to have a lovely takeaway, a fabulous thriving clubhouse/bar now it is lacking any sort of enthusiasm and entertainment. A few odd caravans, but otherwise a site of silence. |Really surprised and somewhat disappointed this has happened to what once was a great place to be in Charmouth. 😒

Weekend stay spoilt by an entitled camper who ran his tv at full volume until 11 pm and started again at 7.30am . Politely asked the person to turn it down, met with abuse. Spoke to the owners at the reception who rather than resolve the nuisance agreed to move us.|Men’s toilets are pungent. Using the pool requires asking the owners to open the pool, which, if the cafe is anything to go by, would probably be less than clean.|There are no other facilities.|This is not a well maintained site with some seasonal pitches looking like junk yards.|Both Newland’s and Seadown are much better sites and currently rammed, no wonder.|We won’t be returning

Stayed at Manor Farm, Charmouth early July in one of the two bed cottages.|Manor farm has a camp site along with a number of cottages all is a 10minute walk from Charmouth beach famous for its fossils.|Found the cottage clean & comfortably. Two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom.|Down stairs is a good sized lounge cloak room and a good sized kitchen dinner. The farm also has a good gym and swimming pool which we used every morning.|The farm is family run and found the owners very friendly and approachable.||There’s a cafe a few minutes walk away and The George pub for evening means, Lyme Regis is only a 10minute drive away.||I would highly recommend staying there for a quiet get away.

Stayed here in our caravan at short notice. Very accommodating. Nice small pool and children’s playground.
Would recommend more water points though, people had connected their caravans directly to the some of the water points, so had to walk a fair distance. Lights would switch off in the washroom before I had finished my shower, luckily it wasn’t too dark though! Washing machine and tumble dryer on-site too which is a bonus.
Would return to the site in the future.
