Great few hours spent here today.
Special thanks to Pete for the engaging conversation with my inquisitive daughters about the owls. You can see that they are well cared for, and the bond they have with the handler is amazing to see.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Very hands-on, and you are able to get up close to most of the animals. My kids also loved the petting of the guinea pigs and rabbits very much! Would definitely come back again if we are in the area.

Really lovely place,much bigger than we expected well worth a few hours visit. Staff were very helpful. Nice coffee shop on site. Toilets are located on the Steam railway platform adjacent to this attraction.

While we didn't have the time to visit the animal area ( something we plan to return and do in the near future), we did have a bite at their lovely café. The staff was really friendly and super helpful, and while the menu wasn't vast, it was really well put together, nicely prepared, and most importantly, delicious! The sausage roll out 2 year old had was a real standout. Stuffed with more sausage than I've ever seen in a sausage roll, and very tasty. The prices are great value for money and the cafe itself is quaint. We will definitely be back. If you should find yourself in the area, do yourself a favour and stop in, you'll be glad you did.

We got to hold guinea pigs, stroke the rabbits, feed the goats and sheep. Good size and you get to go into pens and meet the animals.

This is a lovely little zoo. The staff are very helpful and took a long time showing the owls to my daughters, who were captivated. Then, they also helped them pet guinea pigs. We spent about 3 hours there in total, so the entry fee of less than £10 a person is good value. Nice cafe, too, albeit with a limited menu.

DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS DIRECTIONS!!! Took us to completely the wrong place.
When we arrived after a nice little walk to the farm, over the river and through the steam train station, the prices weren't too bad and there was a nice variety of animals, food bag for £1 to feed the animals, some of which you can get into the pens with, guinea pigs too hold.
Very clean lots of sinks and sanitizer.
Nice Cafe with lots of seating.
Only reason for 4 star was due to the lack of signage to help find the place and overall it's a fairly small place, you can get around it quite quickly, could maybe do with a play area for kids to break the time up a bit.

Visited as we have before with children. This time seemed smaller for some reason, but still worth a visit. Especially the nan with the owls and watching people trying to feed the goats either get jumped on our out started for the food. If you have a love of animals and young children, it's great to tie in with the South Devon railway. The food here was good and reasonably priced.

Eight of us from Ivybridge Trefoil had a lovely day on the South Devon Railway. We called in at Staverton, my favourite station, then on to Totnes where we had a very nice lunch in the cafe and visited the Rare Breeds Farm. Such a worthwhile visit with wonderful rare birds and animals. Visit highly recommended!
