We have just a wonderful stay in the shepherds hut, it’s presented beautifully, very cosy and comfortable. Everything is well thought out, it’s so peaceful and quiet, it was lovely. My husband loved the shower , he said it was just like a steam room. The out door kitchen and bath are lovely too.

We had the perfect stay in this charming shepherd’s hut! The bed was unexpectedly large and incredibly comfortable—my husband is 6’4” and had plenty of room, which is a rarity. The hut itself was so well designed, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we could need.

Our dog was treated like royalty with an amazing welcome pack that included a fluffy rug, treats, a bed, dog bowls, and a drying towel—she loved it! The views were stunning, and we loved taking a albeit very cold but refreshing dip in the lake. However, the highlight was definitely the log-fired hot tub!

Gemma and James were fantastic hosts, having thought of every little detail to make our stay special. We’re already planning our return trip and can’t recommend this place highly enough!

My husband and I have had two dreamy stays at Lake Farm. The setting is stunning and the host has thought of everything to make the accommodation as luxurious and welcoming as possible so that all we had to do was relax and enjoy. We went on some lovely walks from the hut, and also used the car to explore the local area. We had a gorgeous walk by the coast and some delicious meals out. An addition to the offerings on our second visit was an incredible outdoor bath and covered outdoor kitchen. It feels like a real hidden gem and a perfect chance to switch off from the world in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend, and we’ll be back!

We had the most magical couple's get away at Lake Farm, it was truly beautiful in every sense. The Shepard's Hut was fantastic, such a unique little hideaway, with a very cosy bed! It was considerably larger than we expected, and the bathroom and cooking facilities were both spotless and so much more luxurious than I had predicted they would be. The views from the hut and the area in general were BREATHTAKING. We will be making many return visits in future. We stayed in January and the pictures below really sum up the romance and magic of the place. Without doubt, we highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at the fabulously located Toller Hut. Everything about it is wonderful and well thought out. We enjoyed local walks, rowing on the lake and the wood-fired hot tub. The outdoor kitchen is brilliant - thank you to James and Gemma for everything. Strongly recommend.

Came to Lake Farm for a well earned post Christmas break and what a special place this is! We arrived to a beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean shepherds hut, which was cosy and warm. Lots of little extras, everything has been thought about to make your stay as perfect as possible. The view of the lake and surrounding countryside is stunning. You can swim in the lake or use the paddle boat provided. It was a bit too chilly but I’m sure some hardy souls would enjoy a quick dip! We made full use of the outdoor kitchen which was adorned with festoon lights and a particular highlight was the outdoor hot tub, heated with logs. That was really special, lying underneath the stars. We have already booked our next stay in the spring. I can’t wait!

Our 4th visit to the hut and as perfect as ever. The shooting stars were plentiful and as always- lots of wildlife. Gemma and James provide thoughtful touches and we always feel very welcome.

I don’t normally review but we had the best time! The location, overlooking the lake is simply stunning and Gemma could not be more accommodating and welcoming. Comfortable bed, warm even in winter, with a powerful shower! Literally everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely be back!
