We had a stunning minibreak in the Novelist shepherds hut. It was absolutely perfect from the stargazing in the hot tub, the pizza making in the deck, the views from the copper bath to the homemade gin sling cocktail! We got to meet all the animals which was an extra bonus and the family that run the farm are lovely. Will absolutely be back again and can not recommend it enough!

The Novelist Hut, a place to relax, unwind, disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life and recharge and that’s what we did.

The hut is amazing, every detail taken care of, from the copper roll top bath, outdoor shower, hot tub etc. to the finer details of homemade soap, a delicious homemade cocktail in the fridge and a selection of books and games for during your stay.

Much time was spent relaxing in the hot tub, sat in front of the log fire or around the fire pit and soaking up the views whilst led in the copper bath.

Tracy and James have created the most amazing glamping experience, with everything you could possibly need catered for. We instantly regretted not taking the opportunity to order their hamper packs, with everything you need for a breakfast/BBQ but we will when we return. We look forward to returing for a longer trip.

Well, first of all id like to thank Tract & James for having both my partner and I. We had an utterly lovely stay at the Astronomers hut. The views are absolutely outstanding, with swathes of rolling green fields all around the hut, and even livestock to just add to the surroundings. The Hut itself is fantastic, cosy and warm, and has everything you need considering it is a smaller space. The Hottub was a massive plus point for us, and it was already heated and ready for our arrival, and was used pretty much consistently for 2 days 😄. I would just like to add, the thing that stuck out for me the most.. was the fact that late on the Saturday night before we were leaving. When we had run out of firelighters and kindling. James kindly brought us out some, to our hut in the wind and rain, after we had messaged... and that I very much appreciated. 5/5 🌟

We had a lovely time in the artisans hut. The location in the little copse of trees felt so peaceful & private. The hot tub had been thoughtfully heated upon our arrival and although we didn’t try it out till quite late at night it was still super hot! It felt almost magical sat in amongst the trees at night time. The bed is super comfy, we also very much enjoyed having our breakfast outside with the ducks coming round to visit! Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming with thoughtful details shown throughout.

Was so lovely to stay at the Shepperds Hut! The whole experience was magical, from the Hot tub ready for us when we arrived, the bbq available for us, comfortable bed, amazing views, looking at the stars at night. We had a 10/10 experience and would recommend to everyone looking to disconnect for a few days and enjoy calm and nature.

Spent a very nice long weekend here. Can't think of anything bad about the stay. Great location to nearby towns. Really peaceful stay there and will almost certainly be going back at some stage. The wood-heated hot tub is loverly, let alone the fantastic BBQs you can have outside of your Sheppard's huts.

On top of that, I left something very important to me there after I left. Contact the hosts and they very kindly went and found it for me and offered to post it back, however I'll be making the trip back to collect it in person which James (host) has kindly helped sort.

Overall, id say if you are looking for a loverly peaceful getaway in the area. Go here.

We had the perfect stay on a stormy January weekend. Such a cosy hut with the log burner on and beautifully sourced antique decor. Tracy was the perfect host with the log fired hot tub lit for our arrival, ready in time then to do some star gazing later than night. A wonderful secluded hut which I'd highly recommend and return to. Thank you so much for your hospitality
