I bought a ham salad Roll with mayo, £3.95.
When i opened the sandwich, there were 2 very thin slices of fatty ham, some bits of soggy damp tomato and bits of wet, falling apart cucumber….. it was disgusting and should have not been in the fridge for sale…… i threw it in the bin…… i would have taken it back but was miles away. The butcher section has lots of produce, fresh hopefully. Quite expensive i would say. I certainly would not buy anything from the sandwich section again…… absolutely terrible.

The meat at the butcher is lovely. Unfortunately the rest of the shop is a let down. The prices are way over the top to the point of it being cheaper to order items to be delivered via uber. The fruit and veg are not very fresh. I haven’t enjoyed any items from the deli either which is a shame as it could be so much more especially at those prices

Disappointed.
Bought a steak and stilton pie from here.
When I buy butchers pies I don't expect chewy or fatty bits that come as standard in a supermarket pie.
Unfortunately as my partner and I shared a pie together we both ended up spitting out chewy bits. It wasn't the high standard of meat that I'd expect. A shame because the pastry and gravy were lovely.

Always excellent. Wide choice of meat and pies to suit all tastes. Plus a large area of food and cakes, well stocked with goodies. Worth travelling just to shop here.

We now buy all our meat here.
Our grandchildren love the ice cream.
The staff are lovely and very helpful.
The free-range chicken is the tastiest one we've ever had. You'll never eat supermarket meat again.

Had an awful experience due to treatment by female staff. After general poor customer service inside the store (not a smile in sight)… I took a small card tub off the counter for my young son’s ice cream which I had purchased (along with other items) as it was melting in the cone, he’s only 2. Staff literally ran outside after me and spoke to me horribly, demanding I paid extra for the tub… I was so shocked at the way they handled the situation making me feel like I had theft a high price item! I had no loose change and they had a minimum £5 charge on card so decided to ‘let me off’. I was left in tears, completely mortified. I was a mum on her own with her toddler just trying to do my best. A kind stranger paid the 25p or whatever it was they were asking for but this just prompted the woman to walk back outside where I was with my child to lay into me again about what I had done wrong!
I’m sure there are people who will agree with them but this was genuinely an awful experience for me and I won’t ever return to this shop.

Had a “Beef wellington” from here and it was awful,I’m not sure if they know what a beef wellington is. I’ve cooked it and cut it open to find a thumb sized miserable canned looking steak with nothing but pastry wrapped round it as if it was going out of fashion.
I’m hope Gordon Ramsey never comes across this butchered beef wellington. No pun intended
