Working dairy farm in a very quiet location with small hardstanding caravan site situated amongst a pretty orchard. Loved the sound of the cows and calves lowing and the odd bellow from the bulls. Lots of farm cats around doing their job, didn't see one mouse! Dog friendly but must be kept on leads for obvious reasons, lots of lovely places to walk off the farm. The family and workers are very friendly and helpful, although very busy. I enjoyed a few good yarns with the matriarch of the family. The site was powered with a communal water tap, grey water and waste drain a small walk away through the farmyard, a toilet is also available if needed. Being country people from New Zealand we loved it here and would have stayed for longer. We'll be back!

Great little site 5 pitches all hard standing. Working farm so can be interesting with noises and fresh country AIR !!!. Very friendly family.Airfield ( disused)just along the lane great place for walking the dogs.Good cycle area, handy for SELBY.

We stayed at Stocking green farm although it was a while ago and we were welcomed warmly by the owners and family. We caravanned in the most peaceful location we have ever stopped before. The farm itself is a working farm but the orchard where we stayed was very beautiful and secluded. We enjoyed being on a farm and the nearby walks to Selby with the dog were fantastic. We felt that we had gone back to nature and will stay again. We had to leave early due to a family crisis, but we would recommend Stocking Green farm to anyone who wants a quiet, secluded holiday with very friendly hosts.

Not too bad, all hardstanding pitches, water tap close by but elsan and grey water waste right at far end of farmyard by toilet (needs good clean) next to cattle sheds. Understand it's a working farm but just our luck, our last night they'd taken a calf off a cow and it bellowed all night. No sleep that night but previous ones ok. Yard a bit scruffy but it is a working farm.

Nice small site for commuting into York via park and ride. Dog walk just up the road in disused airfield except for glider club.
