Such an amazing and unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was so thoughtfully organized. You get to walk the alpacas, feed them, learn all about them: it's both fun and educational. The alpacas are absolutely adorable and super friendly!

Heads up: bring your wellies because it does get quite muddy, but honestly, it just adds to the countryside charm. At the end, we were offered a lovely cup of tea, which made the whole day feel even more special. Perfect for animal lovers and anyone looking for a unique outdoor activity. 🦙☕💛

We arranged a 'Walk with Alpacas' experience at Brackenfield Alpacas as a present for our daughter. She absolutely loved it, and is already talking about doing it again.

Although it was only my daughter who actually held an Alpaca, we were allowed to walk with her to take photos and enjoy the experience as well.

The session began with an introduction to the Alpacas, which included a brief explanation about their life, behaviour, and how to hold them etc.

There were 7 people in the group who were given the opportunity to chose their Alpaca they wanted to walk with. Each person chose an Alpaca based on the nature of the Alpaca.

The actual walk takes around 45 mins and is flat and easy going. The pace is very relaxed as the Alpacas take the opportunity to nibble at the green stuff on the way round.

All our Alpacas where very well behaved and we met a number of their other family members on the way round (including one that was only a week old). There were a couple of official feeding stops along the way.

The knowledge of Alpacas and the friendliness of our guides were second to none.

There are toilets available (for the humans) and a small car park. There are a few Alpaca related things to buy e.g. fridge magnets, key rings and mugs with pictures of the Alpacas we walked with, and things knitted from Alpaca wool such as gloves etc.

The whole experience was enjoyable and very laid back for both us and our daughter. It makes a great present for any animal lover or anyone who just wants a chilled experience. We felt it represented good value as well.

Such a fabulous fun trek today with the gorgeous Herbie & Whisky. Our guide was Rosie who we can’t praise enough. She is so knowledgeable and there is nothing she doesn’t know about each individual alpaca. We learned so much from her. Our trek was finished off with a hot cuppa and the most scrumptious homemade shortbread biscuits. The perfect day. Can’t recommend enough.

We had such a great experience last month, definitely one we'll forever cherish! It was just us on the tour, which was so calming and enjoyable, we loved every minute with the alpacas and our wonderful tour guide who was just exceptional; so friendly, knowledgeable and fun! Leon & Whiskey + all the other fur friends we met along our trek will forever bring us a smile! Thank you guys so much for offering us such a great experience!

Amazing experience! The wonderful couple who run the place were polite, patient and just wonderful! We got some info about the Alpacas before the walk then we were off! The Alpacas are so well looked after and are very happy! They all have names (one is called Alan!) and they all have different personality traits. Some love cuddles and some love to nibble on newly planted trees when they are not supposed to! Can’t recommend it enough! If you love animals and fresh air then it’s a perfect place to visit.
