On holiday in the area and fancied a fry up, not a fan of supermarket meat so searched for a butcher and found Hewitt and Grant, I'm so glad I did as the sausage, bacon, black pudding and eggs were first class, when I'm back this way I will be paying a visit, great place

A proper butcher.....the taste is so different as it's prepared with care. I had pork and apple sausages which were fab, also the sausage rolls. The smoked gammon was delicious eaten with a baked onion and mash. They also have home made Eccles cakes and chocolate oaties for dessert or just because ! Also there are fresh vegetables in season, bread and other groceries like jam, cheese, milk etc. Served with kindness and knowledge of their produce. First class.

We recommend this butcher for the meat quality of course but the fabulous local butcher service was a great experience 👌 they explained how to cook the shoulder of pork when I purchased it and even prepared it for the oven by taking the fat of ready for crackling 😀

Great butchers! We started ordering from Hewitt & Grant during the 1st lockdown and since then we’re ordered a variety of different meats. From whole chickens barbecued in the summer, to that juicy bit of beef on our Christmas dinner, we’ve never been disappointed.

Great Butcher. Knowledgeable and absolutely oozing customer service! Will work with you to get whatever you need. They will deliver nearby and accept messages and emails for orders. Prices are reasonable. Nice to chat with on top of all else!
