One of my favourite places to fish, it’s where I first learned, so it means a lot to me. The new owner, Anthony, is doing a brilliant job and the whole place is being managed really well. It just keeps getting better every time I visit.

Due to the train strike, I had to hang around Manchester as took my son to work and was waiting to pick him.
Thought I would “waste my time” at Moss Farm.
Had a great days fishing.
Parked right next to the peg. Pegs were well maintained and the site was scrupulously clean.
Chose one of the pleasure lakes. Caught Skimmer Bream, F1 and Mirror Carp consistently throughout the day.
The bailiff was friendly - always a bonus.
The day flew by.
I will be returning.

interesting urban located group of ponds in Irlam. Just off the A57 Manchester to Liverpool road and not far from Makro.
The ponds are named after the owners grandchildren and I was advised to fish Lily’s pond which is carp and tench.
Traffic awareness is a must if visiting this set of fisheries as the roads are a nightmare of traffic queues on and off the motorway network.
Now the owner not only advised Lily’s pond but also a specific peg and it did not disappoint at all with a carp first cast. Bait of the day was sweetcorn. Wafters did nothing, pellets also worked well.
9 carp from juvenile to 4lb in this short half day session…. Left at 3pm and did avoid the traffic.
Q: Would I fish here again?
A: Yes but definitely I would set out very very early to miss the traffic

I went with my ex-partner & he really enjoyed it. I don't know the names of the fish but I know he catches a good selection of good healthy fish.
I would definitely recommend trying this place if your interested in fishing.
Good parking & everyone was really nice & it's only £5 amazing!!! There's toilets I didn't use them but I believe there very clean & staff are very good & helpful.
My ex-partner said he had a really good talk with one of the staff members who helped him with a few thing's like best place to fish etc. very helpful.

Went there yesterday with a friend as I ask if they could introduce me to fishing. We had bought one of them long poles & some hooks and was gonna buy worms at the tack and tail place but it was shut so the fishery was offering biscuit like bait stuff. Friend bought a license recently.

We tried in the main stream like area but didn't catch zip so we went up the hill and in 2hour we had caught 2 and lost 2 as they had got away.

22C, cold drinks and fishing. Very nice day out. Place is clean and staff are nice.
