For years now this family run business is above and beyond other pumpkin patches for miles around. These pumpkins are not bought in the local supermarket and thrown in a field (yes it happens). No, these are grown with care. Cut straight off the vine and excellently presented. There is a real rustic homely feel as you scour the field for your favourite pumpkin of choice. All sorts of shades of colours and sizes and for a very reasonable price. There are plenty of wheel barrows for the in demand pumpkins and even smaller ones available for children. At weekends there is a catering van and some small rides. Accessible toilets and a big car park, it can get muddy so wellies a must. The best thing this year is the tractor ride through the pumpkin patch and the Gruffalo themed section of the tour. Like I said you won’t get much better than this around here.

I had a great time...think my little boy did too. Tractor ride was good. Lots of cars having to get towed out stuck in the mud. All adds to the fun. Chips were nice from the van avoid the coffee tho.

Good site and plenty of pumpkins to choose from. Some absolutely huge and some tiny ones good for decoration. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the sign with the prices on being a bit misleading. Under 28cm/over 28cm being easy to see. And then at the very bottom in small writing 35cm+ £10 each which is a big increase from the other sizes and if you don’t know you get a bit of a shock when paying. It should say under 28cm/28-35cm/35cm+ one after the other

It’s a great place with lots of creative decorations for Halloween. Free car park and a tap water for washing and toilet in site.
The price was 3 medium size for £10 or £3.50 each
3 large size for £12 or £4.50 each

Brilliant day pumpkin picking, with my little boy. It was very muddy and busy. But we definitely had fun.

Fantastic pumpkin patch. Love that you can just show up without booking and there's no entry fee, just pay for the pumpkins you choose. We were lucky to get hardstanding parking but most cars were on the very muddy field. The tractor ride was great at £3 each. It's goes right round through different fields so it works out really good value. The combine harvester was definitely a highlight too.

Loved it. A fabulous time had. Only thing is the sign outside said closed at 5pm. When we got there we thought we wouldn't be able to do any pumpkin picking. However we found out it stayed open until 6pm. This was helpful for us however information is conflicting as on the website it says open until 6pm sign outside says open until 5pm.
Great place though.

Just brilliant. We have been going to a different place (Kenyon farm) but Birchalls is far better for kids and there is no charge for entry. Lots of things to do for the kids and everything is priced reasonably.
