Ordered an ultimate breakfast sandwich which is £7.50 which is extortionate for a sandwich in the first place. Before the sandwich had good filling with four bacon, three sausage with a runny egg. This time there were only two sausage and bacon with hardly any mushrooms and a dry tea cake and egg. I explained to the woman in the cafe that I got more filling and not dry bread like last time, she argued that we have never put that much filling in the sandwich. In the end I asked for a refund won’t be going there again in the future, In the past end I got my refund hence my the two stars.

Chaos ! How not to run cafe seating and ordering … lovely staff but frankly they need training … left standing at the door whilst one staff member taking table orders and another having a personal chat with staff at the till … food very good quality although the bacon was considerably overcooked the black pudding has a peculiar taste I suspect trying to be fancy … £1.50 for fried bread really !!! If not for these issues it would be five stars Ps great cake selection ! Ignore the ranting idiot (NIMBY) about them selling land for housing I suspect they would have had they had it and we desperately need houses !!!!

Don't know what's happened to the quality but it has definitely fallen off. This is how it was presented, lurpak spreadable instead of proper butter which with a farm shop you'd expect 100% butter. A single wedge of bread which looked like it had been cut with an axe, bacon which was mostly fat and a sausage that looked as though it had been thrown from the other side of the kitchen to the plate. One coffee, one orange juice, a full English with additional black pudding cost £21.50. Extortionate for the amount and the dismal presentation. It used to be a very good breakfast now seems that they should be wearing black and white jumpers.

Really good food and good service. Also visited the farm shop which is good quality. Purchased some lamb kofta that I'd already had there forever lunch. Lovely cafe and shop.

With good food and nice staff, what is there not to like! Worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood but can get busy at peak times. Also has a decent farm shop next-door.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my mum. It was very busy so recommend booking. Very clean and the staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. Varied menu with something for everyone and daily specials board. There is also a luscious cake selection. Free parking and 2 disabled bays.

Great farm shop with foods from the farm and produce sourced locally. I particularly like the Cafe Food, English breakfast is just what you need to start the day. It has a butchery as well. Quality items, fresh eggs and much much more

The food here is delicious but the service is shocking

Saturday when 6 tables already eating inside.

A couple arrived before me and ordered one bacon sandwich and tea for two.
I ordered a toasted tea cake and a latte. Dear at £7.95 - it was only after I’d paid that I realised that they’d ordered my a flat white
- instead of white americano(which would’ve been cheaper) when you sit outside you have to pay in advance !

One couple came in after me and went inside

Coffee arrived after 15 minutes.

The couple who ordered the bacon butty went to look for it after 30 minutes and found it waiting to be delivered on the shelf near the kitchen.

After 40 minutes I went to look for my toasted tea cake.I think this amount of time waiting for a toasted tea cake is ridiculous- especially with the number of staff serving and very few customers waiting for food.

And it was served to me after a further 7 minutes. No apologies for the time taken- makes you think they feel almost an hour to wait for a toasted teacake is acceptable?

By this time it had arrived I’d already finished my coffee.
So what I was wanting was a pleasant breakfast - and now it was disjointed and I was frustrated due to the chaos of delivery to the table..

This is not the first time I’ve had delayed service here- it’s my third and final visit . Felt like customers aren’t a priority but can’t think what is ?
