Massive letdown. We are HUGE cakes fans. Everything on the Northcote Road stall looked good so hopes were high. We tried four different cakes but were disappointed by every single one of them. Thuddy; not very moist; bland icing. No punch or joy. Just a mouthful of boring sweetness. We ended up throwing them all out. What a waste at 5 quid a slice!

We bought six doughnuts from them at Kew Garden Fete. I have never been this disappointed by doughnuts. Firstly, they were very dry. Secondly, both the custard and the jam doughnut had barely any filling. There was a tiny bit on the outside but you may as well have bought a normal one. The chunks of custard on the outside are extremely misleading as it makes up 95% of all the filling! Big disappointment! 7,50£ wasted!

One of the best red velvet cakes I’ve had. Fluffy and creamy, even 24 hours after being sliced. Not too sweet, not too heavy. Bought at Crystal Palace park food market on a Sunday!

Saw the stall at Crystal Palace market and thought we’d give it a go. We were disappointed as the terrys chocolate orange brownie was dry and so was the popeye cake (which the person running the stall assured us would be lovely and moist).

I love cakehole! We have ordered cakes from them for birthdays, a small wedding and a big birthday party. The cakes are delicious - the popeye cake is a winner, but they are all so good. Thank you!

A week after ordering a birthday treat for someone on their website, they told me at short notice that they couldn't deliver. It was too late to arrange a delivery with another bakery.
