Couldn’t rate this place enough! They have been absolutely amazing in every respect: communication, professionalism, friendliness, reassurance all 5*!
You can honestly tell that this practice do what they do out of a genuine care and passion for animals and not solely for the money. I hate having to leave my cats especially for surgery or treatment, naturally I worry! But everyone at this practice from the receptionists, vets and nurses to the leadership, have been so lovely and reassuring, and genuinely lovely to my cats.

I recently took my dog for his annual vaccination and health check at this practice. Unfortunately, the experience left me quite disappointed. During the consultation, the vet seemed somewhat irritated that my dog, who had just turned four, was completely healthy with no issues. She remarked that since he was "getting older," they could offer blood tests to check for hidden problems and suggested signing up for their pet care plan.
While I understand offering additional services, her approach felt more sales-driven than genuinely caring. It was unsettling enough that I've decided to look for another veterinary practice — one where my pet’s wellbeing feels like the real priority.
Additionally, I was told that the standard vaccine was no longer available and was offered a "more expensive" alternative without much explanation. Overall, the visit felt more about upselling than about providing the best care for my dog.

As a veterinary student, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a few weeks at Poplar vets, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The entire team is incredibly welcoming, supportive, and so passionate about delivering the best care for all their patients.

Throughout my time there, I saw firsthand how much they truly care for every pet that comes through the door. Whether it was a routine check-up, a complex surgery, or an emergency situation, every patient was treated with patience, skill, and genuine compassion. The vets take the time to explain everything clearly to owners, making sure they feel informed and comfortable with their pet’s treatment.

I couldn’t recommend Poplar Vets more highly for the care they’ve given my beloved cat! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. My cat usually gets nervous at the vet, but the team handled her with such gentleness and professionalism that he stayed calm throughout the visit.

The veterinarians are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions with patience and care. The facilities are spotless, well-equipped, and clearly designed with pets' comfort in mind.

These guys have been amazing. We're doing 4+ different procedures over the next 6 months, at least 3 of which are large surgical procedures and the team have been great.
