Joe & Mira provided invaluable support, guidance and facilitation in delivering our first unconference. From planning, through to execution and follow-up, the process was professional whilst feeling personal and informal.
The event was a huge success and the unconference approach made the event genuinely participatory (instead of having people talking at other people via panels and presentations), resulting in one of the most engaging and energising day of workshops that I have experienced.
I would wholeheartedly recommend using CoLab when there is a need to bring people together to build community and consensus and find shared ways forwards in collaborative working. Participant feedback was exceptionally positive and we will undoubtedly use this approach again in future events.

Jose was incredible as a facilitator. I loved the way he gave gentle but specific requirements for how we should behave towards each other in the sessions. He encouraged us to use open-minded listening and true listening ( ie not distracting our minds with worrying about our own agenda and what we were going to say next).
He managed the group and timings well, by using simple but effective tactics such as his raising his hand and getting us all to raise our hand to signal the group needed to be quiet and let him introduce the next segment.

I also liked his brief introduction about his own past. That immediately gave him deserved and genuine credibility about the topics we were discussing.

All the above combined together to make Jose a powerful and effective facilitator.

Useful, practical, thought provoking - all underlined with consideration for appreciating and working with power differentials.
