Black general waste bins not emptied in my street.
It was reported to the bristol council as a missed collection for being done with 48 hours.
Still not emptied, and the council escalated it so another 2 days.
Low and behold Friday bin and recycling day.
Recycling taken bins still un emptied.
Friday, it's a month since the bins have been collected and emptied.
Whoever was supposed to do relevant paperwork to say missed a rd has not done it, and the council assumed it was done.
I paid for a new recycling box as mine was broken, and you can guess what happens. The recycling team throws the boxes and gets broken again.
The street pavement is cluttered with bins, as we don't know when you are going to pick them up and the council said to leave them on the pavement.
It's a good job no wheelchairs or pushchairs are needing to use the pavement as it dodge the bins and have to walk in the road.

Terrible, unresponsive and incompetent. Recycling collections missed more often than not. Booked bulky waste collection service failed on all three attempts including charging twice. Emails take more than two weeks to be responded to and responses are deceitful. On average it takes me 45mins to an hour to get through on the phone, they are also unhelpful. I have sympathy for councils, but this is a fundamentally broken and ineffectual service. Urgent improvement needed.

Yet again our recycling has not been collected, this happens every other week. I phone bristol city council to report the missed collection, they report to bristol waste, they say it will be picked up in 2 days, this doesn't happen, it's then escalated and we are told it will be picked up by Friday, here we are and surprise- no collection, this has been going on for the last 10 months.
We also paid for a garden waste service in about May last year and so far they have only collected 5 times, and it's supposed to be every 2 weeks.
When they do come we have to play hunt the bins and clear up what has been dropped in the street.
All in all a shocking service.

Last Tuesday night, our Street (Diamond) Bedminster had put our bins out for collection for Wednesday morning and unfortunately Bristol Waste didn't collect them. The bins have been left out since last Tuesday and they are beginning to stink a lot now. When are Bristol Waste gonna collect them? The company should apologise for their mistake and sort it out immediately.

Chops down all trees and vegetation in sight to make way for padlocked, cemented regions that guard BINS that no one can put more than one item in at a time. Incompetent, harmful and useless!

I have never experienced such consistently terrible service from a waste management company as I have with Bristol Waste Company. Over the past several months, the level of incompetence and disregard for basic customer service has reached new lows.

First and foremost, the collection schedule is a complete joke. Despite their assurances that waste will be collected on specific days, it’s a gamble whether the bins will actually be emptied. Multiple times now, I’ve been left with overflowing bins for weeks on end because the crew simply didn’t bother to show up. On two separate occasions, after they missed my collection, I contacted them directly, and both times they assured me the waste would be picked up the next day. Guess what? They never came. Not once, but twice, they blatantly lied about when they’d rectify their mistake. When I reported these missed collections, instead of rectifying the situation promptly, I was met with endless excuses and false promises. It’s as if they don’t care at all about the impact this has on residents, especially those living in flats with limited space for waste storage.

The lack of communication is staggering. You’re lucky if you can get through to anyone on the phone, and even when you do, the staff are often rude, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. Emails go unanswered for weeks, and when a response does eventually arrive, it’s usually a generic template that doesn’t address the specific issues raised. It's clear that customer concerns are at the bottom of their priority list.

Their website and online systems are outdated and incredibly frustrating to navigate. Simple tasks like reporting a missed collection or booking a bulky waste pickup are needlessly complicated. The process is so convoluted that you almost give up halfway through, which I suspect is exactly what they want.

To make matters worse, the actual waste collection process is done with such carelessness that it’s shocking. On the rare occasion they do collect the waste, the bins are often left blocking driveways, tossed haphazardly into the road, or not fully emptied. I’ve had to clean up after the waste crew on more than one occasion because they leave a trail of litter behind. It’s as if they have no respect for the neighborhoods they’re supposed to be serving.

Let’s not forget the time they damaged my recycling bin and refused to replace it. When I reported the issue, they tried to blame me for the damage, even though it was clearly their fault. After weeks of back-and-forth, they finally agreed to replace it, but not without a hefty charge. Charging customers to fix something they broke? Absolutely outrageous!

The overall experience with Bristol Waste Company has been beyond disappointing. The sheer lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic decency shown by this company is astounding. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company at all costs if you have any other options. It’s clear that Bristol Waste Company doesn’t care about its customers, and until they make some drastic changes, I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone.

I think Bristol Waste employ the most laziest people from Bristol, leaves your waste bins several doors away it’s just bone idleness don’t collect all the waste you put out. If I didn’t pay all the Council Tax they would be the first to complain.Bristol Council start employing proper proPer people who want to work, not pay these bone idle wasters who don’t want to work .

Their crew lost my bins during a collection as they have so little care and I have been requested to pay for replacement bins after all the money we pay in council tax, ridiculous. I explained it was not me to lose them and that I literally saw myself how they do collections and told them how often I have to walk along the street to find my bins left meters away from my driveway. Suggested to raise a complaint, first they could not find it in their system despite having proof of the submission, then asked me to resubmit this and I am still waiting for an answer for something that could have been sorted easily. In the meantime I am left without bins for weeks and who knows if they will honour me to have those replaced for free. Appalling service.
