As a previous chef I know quality and won't accept anything less than the best. P&K meats are the best. I've spoken to the owner a few times to agree prices in setup and can see how passionate he was over his craft; something we could both share in. A few weeks ago the owner wasn't there and a chap served me not knowing me before. He cut me some gorgeous, beautiful inch think sirloin steak with lovely bit of fat. It's certainly one of the best steaks I've had. Would I use them again? Yes; every time. When supermarket butchery is terrible and of course independent butchers are a bit more expensive but I would choose this over a supermarket steak anyday.

Their meats are such lovely quality. Large variety of meats, cuts, excellent service, brilliant advice & so friendly/welcoming. Just an around amazing service. Personally found a little more expensive then supermarkets but get better quality, meat doesn’t shrink as much as supermarket meat when cooking. The extra little bit of expensive is really worth it for the quality, the flavour is amazing & quantity. Honestly hate having to purchase supermarket meat & really really try not to after being spoilt with their amazing products. Will never be able to recommend enough. I would go as far to say the BEST butchers we’ve ever shopped in & we’ve shopped in Harrods butcher (wouldn’t rate at all).

Purchased some stewing beef from P&K Meats to make a stew and also some extra beef fat. OMG this was without doubt the best stew I have ever made. The flavour and tenderness was outstanding. My husband who has recently been a little poorly and off his food ate a big plateful and seconds. I recommend this shop and their friendly, helpful butchers. Price was reasonable too.

It's a nice looking butchers, but it's a shame it's the only one in street.

It isn't a place to pop into, their selection of sausages, bbq meats, burgers etc isn't great.

Plus the sausages I bought this morning were dried out where they had been sat around so long, I went to a butcher because I wanted freshness and that isn't what I got.

Have been searching for ages for Pork and Stilton sausages, now finally found them at P & K Meats, with Cranberries as well and they are beautiful, the skins aren't tough, the texture is firm but not hard and the flavour is absolutely gorgeous, would definitely recommend them.
