Be there or be square. This is one of those places that us locals try and keep secret 😂. Although that's not really working. It's like a discount shop for the gardener. The plants that would normally go to other big retail names to be sold for exorbitant prices. But we get to buy them at much much more realistic prices. We love it and have been going for a few years now. Summer bedding and a couple of bigger plants today. Mothering Sunday was a big glass bulb with some beautiful succulents. Too good just for the mother in law so we had one too. Every Christmas we get big red poinsettias. And when I say big I mean big.
If you want some antique sort of pieces for indoors or in the garden then it's worth a look. There have been some amazing wrought iron work that would look stunning in the centre of our garden but out of my league, even here. Some great fairground signage today. Would look great in like a granary kitchen.
The huge olive trees are to die for and again I would love a couple in some big clay pots. But not the big bad boy pots they have there. The sort of pots you put on each side of an art gallery entrance in London. Something like four feet high and two to three feet wide.....some have awesome glazes but I like some of the patterning on others. But glazed would chuck such an awesome amount of colour into my garden.

I think you'd guess I like it there. You'd be right.

Ps I don't work there or know anyone that works there. I'm not buddies with the owner or owners.

I recently decide to redesign my garden and introduce more roses. Made a few online orders from few different vendors. Bells Gardening items were the best compared to other 3.
Look at the pics. they were taken just a few days after delivery.
Here's what I think.

Pros :
Plant condition - They were in excellent condition. Unlike most other places, they came in 5L pots. Well established roots and healthy stems. They already had buds. Now some of them have already in bloom.
Quality of the Roses - Excellent quality. I ordered the "Black Baccara" , "Burgundy Ice" and "Blue Moon".
Customer service - Excellent . I sent an email asking some info on how to take care of the roses. A lady phoned me up and gave some good tips. She was very polite.
Delivery - reasonable price. The plants were delivered with in 2 days
Packaging - Well packed

Cons:
Can't think of any but if I have to say something, I would request them to add bit more verity to their rose range.

Bells Gardening Outlet – Where Green Thumbs Are Made (Without Emptying Your Wallet!)

Stepping into Bells Gardening Outlet feels like entering plant heaven. You’re greeted with a warm smile and the kind of customer service that makes you wonder if they secretly know you’ve got a black thumb (don’t worry, they’ll fix that). The staff are absolute legends—knowledgeable, patient, and always ready to answer even the silliest of questions. There’s one lovely lady with glasses who’s a walking encyclopedia of plants. I don’t know her name yet, but I feel like I should start bringing her coffee as thanks!

Now, let’s talk about their poinsettias. These beauties are homegrown and practically radiate Christmas cheer. I picked up a few weeks ago, and they’re still thriving—not a wilt in sight! They come in all shapes and sizes, and they’re so gorgeous they’ll make you rethink gifting them to anyone else. (Sorry, Aunt Susan, this one’s staying with me.)

And the prices? Love it! You don’t need to spend a million to make your garden look like it belongs in a magazine. Whether it’s flowers, plants, or just some garden inspiration, Bells has everything you need without breaking the bank.

Honestly, I love coming here. It’s not just about the plants—it’s the whole experience. I’m already planning to grab one of their giant poinsettias. It’s massive, it’s stunning, and honestly, I might just name it and give it its own corner of the house.

If you haven’t been to Bells yet, you’re missing out on top-notch plants, incredible service, reasonable prices, and the best reason to spend your weekends in the garden. Five stars and a giant poinsettia from me!

Lots to do for all ages. You can make it last all day. Definitely wear wellies 🤣. Personally I think it was pricey to fire a pumpkin from a cannon, but maybe that was just me. The displays were brilliant though and lots of great opportunities for a picture or two. Well worth going.

The garden centre itself was superb...loads of choice all at undercut prices. I was able to get 6 varieties of tomato plus a load of bedding and hanging basket plants. All top quality.
The only down side was one of the staff on the till who was rather condescending. One of her colleagues collapsed and although I offered to assist due to my medical training and experience she shut me down and left her colleague alone whilst she ran off to find another member of staff. Perhaps she was stressed but she was full of attitude and it spoiled the end of an otherwise excellent experience

Just wanted to share a great little find at Bell's Gardening Outlet
We see this feature panel and knew straight away how we could incorporate it in our garden we had a fire pit that we had planted up the panel just sets it off it’s amazing what a small light can do 🥰
Love coming to have a mooch and never leave empty handed.

Really good plants with extremely friendly, nice and polite staff. I will definitely return in spring for plants. A little out of the way along very (countyfied) roads that are a bit muddy later in the year but well worth a visit. Also nice to walk round in displays of just plants and no mobility scooters etc.

Check the reduction section, some lovely bargains to be had.
Just bought 7 shrubs for our newly prepared border...£50. great value.
