I have to give a huge shout out to the Faux Butcher team. This Christmas, I pre-ordered the Christmas hamper. After having it the year before, I vow to have it every year.

I thought I had ordered my hamper to my parents address, but when they asked me when to expect it, I saw I had received an email asking to clarify if I would be collecting. Turns out I hadn't selected the order to be delivered. I saw the email later than their pick up date and delivery dates. It was so close to Christmas and the panic was setting in. Anthony allowed me to make a delivery payment last min and got the hamper delivered a day or two before Christmas Day. Absolute life savers. Thank you so much for that, I appreciate it and understand you probably just wanted to clock off for the holidays at that time so THANK YOU again. Hope you all had a great Xmas!! Everything in the hamper was delicious and I would HIGHLY recommend anybody try out their products. Charlotte

Definitely a place to visit! Amazing sandwiches, "meat" slices, and a good selection of cheeses. My favourite vegan cheese is Honestly Tasty, especially the Brie and Camerbert. I'm not vegan or plant based, but I prefer the cheese mentioned above over animal cheese. The price of the food at Faux is a little pricey, so a visit there is a treat for me.

Doesn't live up to Insta-hype. Overpriced and stale sandwiches. Downhill.

I used to go here all the time under the former, original management when the fresh counter had so much more, friendly interactions and fresh meatballs/mince.

This week, I went in for a last-minute sandwich as they always look so good on their IG, but felt utterly cheated in paying £6 for a very dry, hardly-filled salami and pesto sandwich. You're better off getting a meal deal from Co-op for what I got...
Seitan and bread were dry, paired with a leaf and a smidge of pesto. Gutted.

Based on their lunch offering (£8!), Faux can't hope to be a viable repeat plant-based go-to...which is a shame as it was always so busy a year ago and tied in so nicely to the scene of Independents in Sherwood.

I like to support local, but Faux is trading on that goodwill a little too much based on my experience forgetting that supermarkets are now in this game with better convenience products.
Faux is way over-priced and just not fresh or substantial.

Faux is best as a re-seller of other national plant-based brands, so if you want your fancy cheezes, go here, but if you want feeding, get a better lunch elsewhere.

I ordered the Christmas hamper for 4 (even though we are only 2!) and just wanted to say thank you so much to the Faux team for making my Christmas meals special! I thought it represented really great value for money with everything that was in the hamper - large selection of sliced meats (these were really good, especially the pastrami & bacon), cheeses, crackers, chutney, pigs in blankets, stuffing, turkey & 4 slices of chocolate cheesecake. It came well packed with ice blocks and I was really impressed with everything (only thing that I felt could be improved was the stuffing - maybe just a dried packet to make up yourself on the day?!) Had loads of delicious lunches in the run up to Christmas, and plenty of left overs afterwards too. This really made my Christmas as I didn't feel left out or like I was settling at all - can't wait to order another box next year! Thanks again 🙂

Popped in for something to set me up for the day after not having time for breakfast at home. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I chose a bacon, brie and cranberry bagel with a oat milk latte and wafer bar, which all came as a meal deal for £7. The bagel was filled to the brim and super tasty! You wouldn't guess it was vegan. The latte was very nice, I'm saving the wafer bar for later because I'm very full. Good start to the day, highly recommend.

It’s a bit out of the way if you’re based anywhere in Nottingham that isn’t Sherwood, but luckily Mansfield road is accessible and there’s free parking around the corner if you’re literally just visiting Faux. We came for an Honestly Tasty blue cheese that I’d hoped to use for canapés at a party that weekend and unfortunately they were out of stock, but I’ve been before and their stock is usually much more abundant NOT at closing time on a Friday afternoon. My fault really! Their product range is great and I hope to see them do well in the future - it’s enough to make any vegan want to live in Sherwood!

£6 for sandwiches that don't contain the fake meat they sell is a bit of a joke, the spicy mango option is basically a pea sized amount of store bought chutney between sub par bread.
The cheese and meats tasted bland, doesn't seem like they are spiced or flavoured so fairly disappointing. The best part was the dessert but honestly you're probably better of going across the street where they serve better vegan options for that too.

What a find. Super staff, really helpful and friendly, who clearly care about the product. Lovely selection, inventive, well labelled for allergens, and staff also helped advise on cooking.

I wasn't expecting the cakes and goodies as well, and this was a complete bonus, as were the deli sandwiches.

What a great feeling in a business! Great product, great staff, great attitude and even the packaging is gorgeous!
