We came in as a group of 8 during the busy morning service and were, very kindly, sat in the Pilates studio for brunch (essentially private dining, thank you Kenny and team)! Various brunch options available, I went for the veggie smash up (pic included). I think it’s a great idea to combine a gym and a brunch space.

A highly recommended place for food and drinks!

The atmosphere is amazing! Two of the staff in particular, Nick and Holly, really stand out to me due to their hospitality and work ethic.

It’s also great for a quick catch up with friends over lunch and to get work done.

Yummy food. Great prices, did a build your own breakfast as I’m awkward with food. Sourdough was lovely and eggs perfect. Also got a flat white and had to try the banoffee protein treat! The treat was amazing. Highly recommend the sweet treats! Thank you.

I have been to The Base Bar in Derby a few times before and each visit is better than the last. This time I popped along won’t be daughter for breakfast before heading into town for a mooch round the shops. I went for their smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough with added bacon and an oat milk latte and the daughter went for a berry granola bowl and hazelnut iced latter. Both were delicious 😋 it’s definitely a place to go and check out yourself and I can’t wait to go back for more.

I don’t know how it’s possible that they sent out food like this.
Looks like a hot mess, no arrangement whatsoever. Had to carefully replate the meal myself.
Salmon tasted undercooked.
Toast burnt.

Absolutely fantastic place. Coming from Australia I have struggled with the quality of coffee and cafes in the UK but luckily I stumbled across this little gem. Fantastic coffee, healthy food, great options, lovely location, good parking.
Could not recommend this place more.

We booked a breakfast for our daughter's birthday and are really glad we found base bar. Just a quick walk across from the racecourse 3g football pitches so perfect for a post football bite to eat.
Avocado smash was a large portion and really nice, pancakes were also good.
As it was my daughter's birthday they brought out a brownie to finish!
The staff were friendly and very attentive. I'm sure we will be back!

I came to the base derby on my own a few weeks ago to try out the gym. Karen was fabulous spent time with me prior to me going in, showing me around the facilities and being very accommodating and knowledgable. The gym is fantastic.
Following my gym session I took a quick grab and go over night oats item. These were so tasty ! And a really reasonable price and handy to have a take out option for a lot of their food. This one was already made so super handy.
I will definitely be coming back for the gym and some food soon !
