Ordered the Chicken Liver Parfait for starters with the Ballotine of confit duck for main. Greats hosts with even greater food. Possibly the best dish I have eaten out, if this was my local I would be coming here at least once a month for the confit duck. Come here for a chef with outstanding knowledge on food prep and flavours and friendly and formal staff.

Absolutely exceptional food, brilliant service and a lovely vibe. I genuinely cannot recall the last time I had food in a pub, that would grace a Michelin star table. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Just fabulous

After reviewing restaurants within this area, The Prince of Wales reviewed very well. We were not disappointed.

There is a good selection of starters and not the general pub selection. I had risotto and my wife had pigs cheeks. Both were first class. We then had a Hand Made Beefburger each. The burgers were fantastic. One of the best burgers I have had for a long time. It was just like eating a steak sandwich.

Would I go again and recommend. Definitely.

Lovely meal. First time visit. Glad we booked for a Sunday as very busy! Gorgeous gravy, perfect pink beef and delicious vegetables all seasonal including asparagus. They'd ran out of cauli cheese but it looked gorgeous. Small outside area/roof terrace. Overflow car park on weekends. Service great but a little slow to get drinks. Good allergy awareness - 100% would recommend and visit again.

We popped in here on the off chance today after a walk. Thankfully we managed to get a table and we are incredibly pleased we did. The service is professional and friendly. The food was brilliant. My Husband and Son had the Sunday lunch, which both of them were very impressed with. I had the fish and chips which was one of the the best ones I've every had in a restaurant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but would imagine in the busy season you would have to book in advance.

We arrived here on a whim on Easter Sunday. The staff were very accommodating. However, it's been the best food we've eaten out in a very long time. The staff were lovely and provided very prompt service. The food is definitely worth the money. You get a good portion and you can tell it's all fresh and well cooked. Would highly recommend!!
