With a handy (but small ) car park in between both baslow edge and Cubar edge it means that you can enjoy amazing views without the climb. A relatively flat walk there is something to see everywhere you look. There are some picnic tables near the parking area too and it's a great way to while away a few hours

Impropmtu visit to watch the sunset. Watched from Curbars edge numerous times but decided to go to Baslow for a change. Though the view wasn't quite as dramatic with the colours from the sunset this side, it was still spectacular.

The highlight was the cows, a firm favourite of mine. Baslow Edge is a lovely walk during the time with some great views. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely Stunning walk. Went just before sunset when it was less busy and got to meet the friendliest wild highland cows 🀩

We had a great walk here on my birthday! We used the AllTrails app for a circular route which took us about an hour of walking in total, plus longer to stop and take it the breathtaking views. If you are not from this area and live in a city then you will be shocked that the UK homes somewhere so beautiful. We felt like we had been transported to Canada or Germany with the towering pine trees and beautiful lake. Highly recommend a visit. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as some parts were quite steep & rocky. And also bring a coat! It was sunny when we went but the wind definitely gets chilly.

Lovely place to hike ,unwind ,meditate.
Small parking space owned by National Trust nearby, van with coffee and snack often is there .
From parking space you can explore Cubar Edge, there are picnic areas(please take litter with you, and dog poo bags-there is NO bins , as National Peak District Park promoting NO littering 🚯 policy).

Wonderful short easy hike with breathtaking views across the Hope Valley. Can see Chatsworth House Estate and fountain from near the Wellington monument. Rock formations and erratics very impressive.
