I did my Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm with H&W in April this year. The instructor, John King, was very knowledgeable and has a great teaching style. I started this course knowing nothing about chainsaws and tree felling and left feeling exceptionally confident.
Great course, great instructor and a great assessor. Highly recommend

Fantastic company to arrange and have them deliver training. I've used H&W Training on several occasions now, each time with excellent hands-on instructors. It's the service, quality of course and instructors is my reason fir returning each time.

I took the four-week tree surgery course. I had no prior experience with any of the topics covered, as I had never used a chainsaw before. Professor Stephen taught me everything I needed to know, in a way that made me feel confident with these machines, since if you've never used one, they're scary. The course atmosphere was unbeatable. I've made some very good friends, and I'm sure that if I need more courses in the future, I'll take them at H&W.

Fantastic chainsaw & tree felling training. The knowledge gained was well above what was needed for the assessment, which will be really useful when putting it all into practice. John King is a talented and engaging trainer - clear, efficient, skilled - he honed in on everyone's learning styles and made sure we were all confident. And Gail was super helpful in helping me find discounted kit. Cheers H&W!

John King did an incredible job running our maintenance, cross cutting and felling course. His teaching style, depth of knowledge and high standards made the course entertaining and fun. A big thanks to John and the whole team at HW for providing a wonderful service.

Took a chainsaw course with John King through H&W training. John was brilliant. I couldn’t recommend anyone with more knowledge, patience, and genuine interest in seeing the candidates not only through the course but set up for a career of safe, efficient, and professional usage of, in this case, chainsaws. I would eagerly take another course with John through H&W training as it is a serious investment in ones development for tree surgery and beyond.

I did my Forwarder course at the site near Biggar and it was excellent. Staff are super friendly and patient (even when I tipped the machine on the first day) All the Instructors and assessors are really knowledgeable and want to pass on what they know. My instructor even gave me a link he's seen for a job which I've now got and loads of advice on the machine that I'd be using. Highly recommend H+W
