Both Innerleithen and Lauder Shaws are great. Cost more than supermarket of course but great quality. Especially recommend smoked back bacon, ribeyes and brisket.

Really good service, the butcher was patience and very helpful. The range and quality of produce is very good. Although it doesn't seem like they would have a lot of choice from their window display, the key is to ask if they have something within the shop. They also have a good range of different pre made pies, fresh eggs, preserves and cooked meats available for sale within the shop as well.

Shaw's Fine Meats are quite honestly the finest butches in The Scottish Borders, my Son popped in for two pies yesterday & I can honestly say they were really enjoyed in both households, beautiful non soggy pastry topped a beef packed pie with a lashing of fantastic gravy, this small unassuming Innerleithen High Street shop is well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed in any way & with anything you buy, brilliant in every aspect of what a butcher's should be...

I have only had their individual steak pie (on several occasions). They are fabulous. You're jolly lucky if you've had a better one from elsewhere.
