We stayed in a turret room which was delightful with its quirky low ceiling in the WC and it's four poster bed. The room was very clean and the facilities were excellent. The |Complimentary whisky and snacks were a nice touch. The bed was nice and comfortable. The restaurant was OK with its limited menu but the bar area was vibrant and welcoming. The location on the main street was great and close to all the town had to offer plus there was sufficient parking either in the small car park at the side or free on street parking right outside the front door

Lovely staff great breakfast comfy room. We were just staying for one night as we have family who live locally and they had the rest of us staying with them| We spent some time with all of us in the beer garden and when they went home we had dinner. It was delicious

Lovely hotel, staff really helpful and friendly but unfortunately almost IMPOSSIBLE to sleep if you’re on a ground floor room as you can hear EVERYTHING from the room above. Footsteps, taps, intimate moments, the lot. I checked in after a long drive from the UK hoping for a solid nights sleep but managed about 5 broken hours due to the relentless noise. Real shame as it would have been a much more positive review otherwise 😔

So this one was easy to find and parking wasn't an issue but I think it could be in peak season.|Staff were great and I throughly enjoyed the pizza but the room....felt like we were on a slide not a mattress, the bathroom extract fan and shower head,neither had been cleaned for quite a while. I did speak to a member of staff about all the above and they did discount our bill but the cleaning I feel is not something to be missed. The noise as well, it was so noisy, we were on the second floor in room 4 and there was constant banging from the door outside plus whoever was in room above us.|Probably wouldn't stay again but would eat here again.

Lovely hotel, lovely big room, very clean and comfortable. Downside was the evening meal, both main meals arrived cold including the ju, were taken back and reheated, husbands was fine mine was still cold the veg were warmish but the lamb rump has been flashed under the grill and placed back on the veg spring onions on top were burnt and ju was luke warm. So I sent it back I was offered Mac and cheese as a replacement I refused the offer and did without. Not an enjoyable meal at all. Breakfast had a good variety but bacon and eggs again were luke warm so a continental was only other option which quite frankly was not what I wanted.

Stayed here for a night, this was a rescheduled night due to the weather. There was no trouble changing the dates. The room was a good size, loved the little alcove bit with a chair at the window. Wee dram in the room is a nice wee touch. The tea/coffee tray is probably one of the best I've seen, in regards to selection and equipment, well apart from the tray itself. The bed was comfy and nearly had the pillows in my suitcase they were that good 😊. There was some thick dust in the room. Bathroom was nice, big towels with good complimentary products. Plus robes and slippers provided. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, parking out the front. The decor is very fitting to the age of the building. The fire in the bar is lovely. Breakfast was good, sufficient selection. Will say the cereal bowls are enormous. Staff were efficient and friendly. Would definitely go back.

What a wonderful place. Warm, cozy and well appointed rooms with all the amenities!
We had such a good pizza dinner here and stayed to have a few drams by the fireplace.

P.s. you get a taste of whisky and sparkling waters replenished daily!

We stayed for just one night on our travels. The room was nice it had everything you needed, it was clean, comfortable and well kept our only thing with the room was the bed was too singles pushed together and it was quiet noticeable but as long as you stayed on your side it wasn't a problem it was comfortable and we had a great night sleep.
The service was exceptional all of the staff were so lovely, kind and nothing was a bother.
There is a beautiful open fire in the bar, we sat there for hours enjoying some of the castles own gin and whisky. We orderd food which was really lovely. The staff could see we were really comfortable so told us to stay where we were by the fire and she had set our table and would let us know when our food was ready
We would 100% stay here again
