Amazing garden centre, vast selection of plants. The staff is lovely, always willing to give you a good discount on semi dead plants. The views from the cafe are also stunning, fantastic location. Plenty of parking space. Sale section is big. Never had a bad experience there ☺️ dog friendly too!

Just had the most disgusting strawberry tart. Looked nice till you move the cream to discover custard. Not sure if made on site or bought in but seriously needs looking at. The custard was so much like rubber I could have made a trampoline out of it. Never mind the over inflated prices. staff all seem very inexperienced.
I used to come regularly but I won't be back. This cafe has gone so much down hill. Far nicer ones in other garden centres in valley

Food in restaurant was awful.
Soup was horrible, toasties were rubbish, coffee tasteless, chips were OK (All 12 of them) and salad miniscule, looked like it had been served up with a teaspoon. Prices were very expensive for such poor quality food and service.

Excellent place to visit. Female staff member Sam did a fantastic job at serving food and coffee. Wide variety of plants for the garden. We always have breakfast and lunch here the food is excellent. The staff who work here make this a great place to go back to for another visit. Would highly recommend it.

I have taken mum to this Dobbies Garden Center and before when it was Sandyholm every couple of weeks. Very sad to say we won't be back. Yes shop not as good stock as before however for us having a something nice to eat n hot drink is no longer enjoyable. Yes staff young, however to the young girl at my last visit who apologised I told her the I didn't blame her it's management that need to sort things.....everything from food quality, environment and staff numbers, training n I suspect retention of staff. The one star is for all the lovely times my mum n I had years ago. I do hope you sort things out

DREADFUL RESTAURANT asked and paid for 2 scampi and chips after 30 mins and no sign of our lunch we asked where our lunch was. Was informed they never put the order through and would be 20 mins cook time if wanted to wait, it was a lovely day so we waited in the sunshine. After a further 25 mins I asked again about our food ‘it’s just coming’ I was told.
Lo and behold after a further 10 mins, NO food. I returned and found the scampi on the hot plate, the young man plated up with some chips when I told him it was 2 scampi he then halved the portion onto two plates and informed me he would need to put on more chips. That’s when I lost the plot and asked for the manager, who was of course, not in, I asked to speak to any one remotely in charge. A young girl appeared and I asked for my money back and told her the service was abysmal. This Dobbies does not know how to run a restaurant and the, so called, manager should be sacked. Afterwards I went to my local Green King restaurant had freshly made scampi and chips for a whopping £3 less than Dobbies were charging.

This is a nice large garden center with loads of different sections; indoor/outdoor furniture, indoor/outdoor plants, cat/dog food/accessories, fish (pets) accessories, ornaments, BBQ grills, books, clothes, restaurant.. loads of things to browse. Selection of items is okay. Staff are friendly and helpful but on busy days there are not enough opened tills so you may have to wait a short while at the cashier. The plants are all good quality and healthy. The venue itself is nice, bright, airy and clean.

If you want to charged a fortune for cold chips overcooked veg and a steak pie you could buy for a pound from Iceland then Dobbies Sandyholm is for you!.
It was AWFUL. Father in law asked for a latte, he was given an Americano! Had to ask for the veg as they "forgot". If visiting the Clyde Valley there are copious other options available.
The garden centre itself is OK but after visiting I can understand why they are struggling.
