I had an amazing time at Newton Farm, the staff are lovely and friendly, the tour was amazing.  Being able to see how the farm works is very interesting, they really work hard and I appreciate that they have allowed the public to come in and see what happens. I was able to see and pet animals which I have never done before, I really am in awe, They work so hard, farmers aren't given enough credit on how hard they work or earn enough money for all the hours they do. I have been twice in April and I would highly recommend it here.  I was able to feed and hold the lambs, feed the alpacas, pet the sheep, goats, pigs, cows/calves and donkeys, I can't wait to go again. Thank you so much.  Don't forget to think about the amazon wish-list I suggested 🙂 x

We stayed here for 2 nights for a birthday and did the Farm Tour and Highland Cow experience. Shout out to Lou for making it such an amazing and personalized experience, even arranging a birthday cake. Lou and Graham were great with the farm activities, they are extremely knowledgeable and open about their animals and their land. And the animals themselves are delightful and friendly! Highly recommend a stay or visit for anyone looking for a heartwarming, memorable experience.

Loved the adults only lambing!! Would highly recommend. Farmer Lou was lovely and so knowledgeable. The animals are clearly well cared for and it was great fun being able to feed some! We heard from other visitors that the food is amazing too. Will definitely return

This is our 3rd time at Newton Farm and our second time at a lambing experience. I would say the experience has grown and I felt that this year’s tour was even better than the previous. We got to see the cows and their calves along with the bull too. Farmer Lou was great with a wealth of knowledge and while part of the tour was feeding lambs there was plenty of hands on experience for those waiting. Cuddling a little lamb, being in the lamb enclosure and playing, visiting the goats and other little lambs and seeing the ewes that were still to give birth. It was a lovely experience throughout.

I did the little lambers experience with my granddaughter and LOVED it ! She got to do crafts first then off to meet and feed the lambs ! We met goats, chicks and highland cows. Feeding lambs was on my bucket list, so a big ✔️ (and my granddaughter loved it too 😂) we then got a kids lunchbox and box (sandwich had PROPER cheese on it and not a rubber slice) and I had a coffee. The whole morning cost me less than £20 and it made memories that will last forever. The staff were fantastic with all the kids and all in the middle of a working farm. I loved it ! And will definitely be back

We really loved this place as a family when we first stumbled upon it a few years ago. Having just attended the Newton Farm Easter event, paying a considerable amount of money to do so, our conclusion is that it has just turned into a money making machine that, frankly, was not somewhere I felt my child was entirely safe anymore. ||Of note on the day:|- Cleanliness: mobile hand washing station (singular) ran dry at least two times during our visit. Bins overflowing. Hand sanitisers in the restaurant would be useful.|- Health and safety: Having cars driving through the same farm that children were egg hunting through was utterly mind blowing. Two eggs from the egg hunt were in the cow shed where they were channeling cars through too. My daughter carefully sidestepped a car and a cow started tugging on the back of her coat. Thank god I was beside her as she could easily have tumbled down into the enclosure. Again, utter madness.|- Organisation and catering. Keeping in mind this was a pre-booked event and therefore numbers were known, it was complete chaos in terms of queues. We waited 40 minutes for a coffee, tea and biscuit. Additional food trucks or some provision will be needed in future.|- Additional charges. This was sneaky. Keeping in mind we had already paid £40+ pounds for a family of 3 to simply walk around a farm (with a stream of cars driving through it) hunting for cardboard eggs, £5 bolt ons per person to interact and/or feed the lambs was greedy. Absolutely wild.||Incredibly disappointed because, as I said, we used to really like this place.

My husband and I booked the Adults Lambing special and travelled up from Glasgow, it was amazing! Cannot recommend this enough, we got to see all of the cows as well which was a bonus but feeding and cuddling the lambs was the highlight of the day. The whole team was so lovely, friendly and knowledgable and really made the experience incredible. Will definitely be back

We returned to Newton Farm this Easter following a memorable stay in 2024, and under strict instructions from our 13 year old son and, just like last year, it turned out to be the highlight of our Scottish road trip - tears were literally shed when we left! ||Again, we were welcomed with open arms by Louise and Graeme and in the most hospitable and kind way, we were allowed to immerse ourselves in the fascinating workings of a farm and family devoted to sharing their lives with their visitors. ||This is a working farm, run by working farmers, where things often don't go to plan, and by spending time in their midst, you really learn the joy and the challenge of their vocation. We were all allowed to 'muck in' as much as we wanted, but particularly our son who bounced out of bed every morning to help feed the lambs, and collapsed into bed each evening, exhausted from a day of fresh air and helping out.||Again we were there for their annual Easter open day and saw first hand how much effort goes into ensuring everyone has a positive experience - not easy when you're navigating so many visitors around a working farm, and dealing with farm animals that don't necessarily read the instructions! ||All told, an experience we'll remember for all our days, and one that we might just repeat again!
