I usually buy steak pie from the supermarket but decided this year to get the real McCoy!And so glad I did (being a chef 👨‍🍳 in my previous life,)I’m very particular when it comes to food!)Steak pie from here did not disappoint,easily cooked in the oven,upon cutting you get this wonderful aroma,the beef cooked as it should be! (Melts in the mouth)Easily cut and flakes nicely, the pastry flaky and rich.The gravy just perfect ,compliments other ingredients wonderfully.Many thanks to Leanne,Anne and rest of the staff for staring 2025 with a steak pie hit! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You might want to consider renaming your haggis pie unless you are actually going to put haggis in it. Very thin layer of haggis and completely filled with potato. Not value for money , won’t be buying these anytime soon, extremely disappointing.

Have been using this butcher for a while now since our local one closed down in Dollar .
Got say been happy with service and produce steaks are lovely as is there slice sausage and quality of great selection of many items
That started doing a Chinese style sausage very tasty was so happy we ordered couple dozed to take away this weekend .
Ordered on Monday morning sadly went in this morning and they couldn’t find order and had none in stock disappointing when my husband and gone down to order them on Monday morning.

Price and quality of Aitken Butchers are fantastic! They always have fresh Haggis & Black Pudding everyday, sausages, burger patties and delicious marinated spare ribs. I also buy ox liver there for my dog!

Great local butcher, good quality selection and excellent service, also have a deli section with prepared meals, fresh eggs and morning rolls. Think their steak pies are the best value and taste is amazing.

A beef rib roast for Easter that was the best EVER. And I got to try my first sausage slice. (They were flying out the door while I was waiting!) Super friendly staff.

We got some burgers and chicken kebabs for an impromptu barbecue, extremely tasty!
Our selection included 1/4 pounders, pork and apple burgers, chicken burgers and Indian "mystery" kebabs. Cannot fault anything. We also purchased chicken Balmoral pies, sausage rolls and some morning rolls. Was impressed at getting change from £20. Support this excellent local business will surely grow
