Was blown away by how tasty the food was. This was my third time having a tasting menu and it was the best one so far. The restaurant has a nice cozy feel and the service is very attentive, with very kind staff. The attention to detail was spot on and the main course (the cod) had a bigger portion than I expected and was the best part of the meal. Thank you to all the staff and the chefs for making this experience so special

Eleanore manages to balance very refined food with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is perfection, especially the main course of lamb which was a substantial sized dish that packed a huge amount of flavour. A lovely tasting menu that hits all the right notes.

Stunning, stunning, stunning. Had the most incredible experience at Eleanore last night. Every dish was better than the last, the atmosphere was cosy and warm, and the team were fantastic. We were lucky enough to sit Chef-side and watch everyone pull together each incredible dish. Chef William was lovely - answered all our questions and made us feel right at home. Beautiful food, great atmosphere and a brilliant team behind it all.

Hands down the best meal I have ever eaten - each individual dish on the tasting menu was exquisite, beautifully presented and complemented by really friendly staff. Even the choice of music was first class!! Highly recommended and will be back next time we are in Edinburgh 💥

Brilliant experience, food was amazing and the staff catered for dietary requirements well. Service was friendly and attentive but not too much and the recommendations for wine and other dishes was very good. Would definitely recommend. Stand out dish was the flat iron steak, and the canapés.

After hearing all the hype about this restaurant for the past two years I’ve finally had a chance to visit with a friend recently. We left the restaurant feeling quite disappointed.

We arrived for late lunch and ordered the sharing menu for one and a few other small plates. The portions of food were probably just enough for two with small to medium appetites. The food itself was average while the seasoning was almost off in every dish - either too salty or bland. The sauce for fish was confusing and failed to bring out the fish’s own flavour. The lobster pasta, despite its name, only had two tiniest pieces of lobster meat at the bottom of the dish and the sauce didn’t taste lobster at all. Desserts were ok. There were one or two canapés and the oysters were alright. Service was good though. Presentation of the food may sometimes look aesthetically pleasing (although some plates just make you feel like suddenly transported to your grandma’s old-fashioned countryside kitchen from a supposedly fine-dining or experimental restaurant. The style of these dishes and the food was so inconsistent.), but the food was definitely not worth the hype or the high cost (we spent over 100 for lunch for two, not including any drinks).

Overall it was like a rollercoaster experience for us that day, brief satisfaction of certain tastes almost immediately followed by disappointment and confusion when the next course arrived…Will not return in the future.

Brilliant night! Food, service, wine, vibes were all spot on. Came down from Inverness for a meal out and it didn't disappoint. Everything tasted amazing but the dessert was outstanding! Don't skip the dessert wine either. Both the ones recommended to go with the orange posset were sooooooo good.

Our first meal in Edinburgh and every single dish just hit the spot. They were able to accommodate to my dietary requirements and swap it out while ensuring the quality was still maintained. Great price for the quality!
