I buy form this butcher for the first time and first impression was really positive. Excellent quality for the T-bone and really decent flat iron stake for just £4 a piece. Really happy customer

Always accommodating with requests perhaps the best Osso buca shanks I’ve ever cooked redolent of marrow. Superb pies only wish they stock more of the chicken and gammon!

Yesterday afternoon I bought here 0.5 kg of ox tails (on the pic), 0.5 kg smoked ribs and two lamb pies. That was my first time in this shop as normally I’m using butcher at Stockbridge.

Today I try to eat one pie for the breakfast and is was absolutely disappointing. After first bite everything end up in the bin. The weird stuffing was just awful.

Today after work (around 17:00) I go to my fridge to take it out and cook ox tails and they were incredible smelly (like roten meat) in some places even slightly green and sticky. Everything after one night in the fridge! I binned that straightaway.

The smoked ribs were fine.

I’m not recommending that place as I lost my trust there. I will never comeback and I would never recommend that to anyone of my friends. I’m absolutely disgusted!!!

I was trying to call the shop but I noticed that they are open only till 17:00. I will try to call them tomorrow to discuss that case with the store manager.

Please remember food posing is dangerous!

I called to ask if they could shout 5 mins late cause of the traffic lights and they did not.
I managed to be there 16:40 after a long drive and the shop was already shut.
I would not go back again.

Great! little gem! in the heart of Leith where the customer service is second to none! - always fresh produce no matter what day go in - would strongly! recommend their very own fruit pudding & stir fry! 😊
