PekoeTea is THE tea shop to visit in Edinburgh. Not only do they have a lovely selection of all types of high-quality tea and teaware, but their staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about tea.
We booked a private tea tasting at their studio in Leith, and it was a fantastic experience. We sampled 4 different high grade Chinese teas in gong fu style. Jon and Esther were very friendly and welcoming, and had lots of great insight and information to share. I highly recommend booking a tea tasting with them if you are a tea enthusiast and would like to expand your horizons and learn more!

Cosy wee shop with great selections of tea. Love my Scottish Summer Fruits and whisky blend. Definitely recommend!

First time visit today to PekoeTea and we both loved the teas. The staff could have been a bit friendlier but they were very knowledgeable and certainly advised on good blends to suit our taste. Liked so much that I bought a big bag of their homemade Earl Grey blend home.

If you want to try out REAL tea, this is the place to go to. They have a massive selection of different types and she is knowledgeable of the kinds of teas. It is almost hard to choose because of the great selection

It’s rare to find such a place with tea connoisseurs… they have seasonal menus but for September/October they got kukicha on the list - it was delicious! However, only 4 stars because of the somehow unreasonable prices 🙈

Excellent selection of Chinese tea. Medium selection of Japanese and Korean Tea. You can buy and enjoy at home or drink some beautiful cups right away.

Love their Earl Grey varieties! I stopped in after having Scots Earl Grey while touring the Royal Yacht Brittania and finding out it was from PekoeTea. While it is not currently available for purchase, they have several other unique Earl Grey Blends that are also delicious! I also liked that they have smaller sized sample packages available of many of their teas, giving you a chance to try something new. I do hope the Scots Earl Grey comes back eventually! The heather in that blend added a lovely soft floral flavor that was enchanting.

Delicious, different teas at a good price. I did a tea tasting experience with some friends led by Gary, who was incredibly knowledgeable. You learn so much & taste a variety of teas unlike the ones you're used to. A worthwhile experience & shop for tea lovers. Look out for member discounts & gift cards.
