A really fun and family-friendly visit, with two kids around ten years old. We learned tons about the world of whisky and gin in this new distillery, which offers original products while still keeping things approachable. We were especially glad to have done the tour with our Swiss guide — she was super energetic and genuinely friendly. Highly recommend checking it out

Neil was an excellent tour guide and while I've been on tours for bigger distilleries I don't know if I've ever been on a more personable and interactive tour. These guys are great and well worth the money. 10/10.

The staff is amazing and nice. We had Niel as our tour guide, he is very knowledgeable. This is a Great place to learn about a brand new distillery.
You'll get 1 free gin and 2 free whisky tasting during the tour.
You are able to try different whiskeys made by Hollyrood at the shop.
There is a bar on site. I recommend this tour to anyone. It is about an hour long tour.
There is an elevator for those who need one.

The distillery is such a cool space. It blends the modern and traditional into a cohesive experience and is a great place to spend a few hours. The team there is incredible; Dave was our tour guide, and he is amazing! He was both fun and knowledgeable. His insightful stories about the history of whiskey and the production process along the way coupled nicely with the whiskey samples throughout the tour. It’s definitely worth a visit.

We tried both the whisky and gin tasting, and everything was exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit for any whisky or gin enthusiast in Edinburgh — highly recommend!

You cant visit Edinburgh without seeing a whisky distillery. We booked the condensed tour as short on time. We were the only two in the tour as it was midweek so it didn’t feel like a tour. Our guide, so sorry forgotten your name, was great and gave us lots of information and descriptions of how the whisky is made which was pretty interesting. There were so many different variations on flavour and depth and to learn how and why was enlightening. We got to try different flavours at the end of the tour and the explanations were very in depth and made sense and could pick out those flavours. The cocktail selection available was great and went down a little too well. Such a shame we couldn’t take any home because of liquid restrictions flying. Highly recommend giving this distillery a visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Holyrood Distillery, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the visit.

One of the highlights was the opportunity to sample a variety of spirits. Each one was unique, and the craftsmanship behind them was evident. The distillery shop is well-stocked, offering a range of products, most if not all made on-site. I was particularly impressed by their new spirits, which draw inspiration from different countries. A standout for me was the Polish-inspired spirit, influenced by Baltic porters—truly a one-of-a-kind creation! If you’re interested, I’d recommend grabbing it while it’s still in stock.

The distillery itself is beautifully set up, and their commitment to innovation and quality is clear. While I didn’t have the chance to visit their on-site bar this time, I’m already planning a return trip to check it out.

If you enjoy discovering unique, locally crafted products, Holyrood Distillery is absolutely worth a visit.

The whisky we tried was outstanding, full of rich and unique flavors. It was such a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves good spirits and a great environment.
