The Edinburgh Food Delivery is the best online butcher I have come across. I am a Scotsman who likes meat with no frills, just as I remember when I was younger. The order process is so quick and easy and the delivery is Next day!! I can buy meat here in England, but not the specialties that these guys have. If you miss square-sliced sausage or black pudding with the wonderful spices that make it ‘Scottish’ go no further. Great service.

Ordered a full loin of venison for a private dinner I was catering when my usual local supplier was unable to provide the quantity needed. After a minor delay to the order being sent out due to a confusion over the address not being mainland UK (Isle of Wight), Douglas at Edinburgh Food Delivery was able to organise a next day service with Royal Mail and the venison arrived on time. Superb quality and extremely cleanly butchered and trimmed - venison was beautifully tender with an excellent flavour and not strongly gamey. Clients were delighted and I would definitely purchase again in the event of my local supplier being unable to supply again. Thank you.

I'm visiting Scotland for the first time and came across Edinburgh Food Delivery through Edinburgh Lockdown Economy. EFD is a wonderful service that connects local producers to consumers!

I compared EFD to other similar services and found that they have the best price and the most expansive list of products!

I'm in self-isolation, so EFD has been a lifesaver and served as a local "food guide" as it introduced a delectable curation of local goods that I otherwise may not have discovered on my own—though I still have yet to try potato scones!

The service is second to none, the taste absolutely delicious and the portion size very generous! I ordered from Edinburgh Food Delivery ahead of a dinner party to take the stress of producing varied speciality dishes. The result was fabulous. They were so helpful. One of the dishes had to be altered as a guest was allergic to an ingredient, this appeared to be a little bit of a challenge given the dish, but nothing that they weren't up to! Everything arrived beautifully packed and in good time. Everyone really loved the food! I was so very impressed with everything about this company!

I contacted Edinburgh Food Deliveries so as to purchase, online, a Kelly Bronze Free Range Whole Turkey. The service I received was nothing short of excellent with the Turkey arriving on the appointed date via Royal Mail. I cannot recommend Edinburgh Food Delivery enough. They are professional, reliable and very knowledgeable. Fabulous.

Highly recommend Edinburgh Food Delivery, as I'm shielding due to pregnancy its been it's quite difficult to get a supermarket slot so I thought I would give these guys a go. I was highly impressed with the service and quality of all the produce. All fresh and great portions and delivery within a couple days. Its also great excuse to support local providers in these trying times.

Very very disappointed. Ordered a Easter turkey . Expected delivery Thursday. Rang up late afternoon to be told that at 9.36am they were told damaged in transit . Yet dpd said they can't deliver perishables. Then get told I have to wait 3-5 buisness days for refund. I have five sons 2 daughter in laws and grand children for dinner as we missed last year through my health . Now we have been let down badly by this .
