Edinburgh Food Social catered for 80 people art our daughter's baptism, and they were excellent! On the lead up, Helena was so responsive, providing clear and detailed information to support our decision making. No question was too much hassle (and I asked a lot!) and she came across as enthusiastic and thorough in making sure the day would go ahead as we hoped. The food on the day arrived exactly as planned, and was set-up beautifully with a stunning arrangement of sharing salads and 2 different warm dishes. We chose the 'Green' menu for dishes made with whatever was seasonal and from local suppliers, and this added a great element of surprise on the day. The food was delicious, fresh, plentiful and colourful, and the guests all remarked on what an excellent spread it was. The chef and waiting staff were so friendly too, and cleaned everything away with no fuss at all. Thank you for making it all so easy and special!

Edinburgh Food Social provided catering for a work event I was organising. Helena was incredibly helpful and responded quickly to my queries. She gave us suggestions of what food they could provide and catered to a variety of dietary requirements. The food was delicious and everyone at the event commented on the selection and quality. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in future.

Attending Edinburgh food social cooking classes has been really great.I have been encouraged to eat healthy and have grown in confidence in cooking! Fergus has been a great teacher who has taught us well and has helped me expand my cooking skills. EFS has been one of our top caterers for events and we absolutely love their work . They are professional, give excellent advice for events (suggestions, things to expect, flexibility in changing orders) and have been a joy to communicate with as well. They reply in a timely manner and most importantly provide AMAZING food. I can't recommend them enough, we are repeat customers!

We had the most beautiful wedding last week-end and Edinburgh Food Social was a big part of making the day a success.

We initially were going to work with Edinburgh Larder but we were passed on to their sister company which was a bit of an unexpected news but once we spoke to Kirsty, it became clear we were in very good hands! We were happy to learn as well that our money was going to a good cause which aligned perfectly with the spirit of the wedding.

The waiting staff was absolutely wonderful, seamlessly serving delicious food (nibbles and simple sharing platters which suited the relaxed vibe of our day), decorating tables following our instructions and completely tidying up afterwards. The wedding was in our parents' house & garden so the team had to adapt to these tight conditions and did very well. Everyone worked quietly in the background which made the day completely stress free! All the guests commented on the quality of the food, especially the onion pie which was a massive hit with zero leftover the next day (keeping in mind the standard was high given half the crowd was French!). Allergies were kept in mind including a plate prepared especially for my celiac brother in law.

I can only find one picture of the food at the moment and it's of the next day leftovers (delicious!) but hopefully gives a little idea.

Seriously amazing team full of joy! Thanks Kirsty and team. We're planning on coming to one of your dinner events soon. 🙂

Attended the essential two part cooking classes. Sadhbh and Fergus were both great teachers giving me skills to make really delicious and nutritious food at home! Can’t wait to use all these techniques again :))

A fantastic social enterprise that actively uses funds to help counteract food poverty. They are well organised and all the staff are professional and friendly. Available to cater a number of events- a special birthday dinner, weddings, work parties, and even do cookery classes for work parties etc. Delicious food and very flexible with allergies and dietary requirements. Really excited where they go!
