I bought a mixed grill pack from from westwood store or other people mite know it as the melburn shop.
The pack is dated to the 31st of dec 2024 today is the 29th of dec 2024 and the black pudding has got hairy mold on it its a shame i bought these packs all the time dissapointed i have to go els whare now the food does not last as long as it sais on the pack 👎

Brilliant butcher. Friendly service every time, if asked there's always lots of advice on hand for weights and cooking too. Meat is great quality, never fails to please the family. Reminds me of going to the butchers with my papa as a child, there's always good banter in the butchers!

I have known Alex and his family for over thirty years back to when he took the plunge to own his own shop through his and the rest of the family they have made it a great sucess hard work long hours it is still going strong . I live in England but when I return to East Kilbride I cant wait to go to the best butchers I have ever known, when I leave Alex senior and Alex junior make sure my meat is packed for me and my journey home.
One of the things I miss is my butcher as the meat where I live is not the same, it is one of the things I look forward to coming home thanks again for all your hard work and friendship over the years.

Continued thanks to young Alex for his ongoing deliveries of McCandlish products to our local convenience store in Milngavie. When I do make it over to EK, I try to make a point of visiting the shop in Westwood Square. Great shop with pleasant and helpful staff, and produce which is always outstanding. The last time I came away with the feeling that EK would not be EK with McCandlish butchers.

It has been the best butchers in East Kilbride for the last 25 years Alex has a Xmas club you can pay into all year round my mum always shopped at alexs shop until she passed away. Annie Vallance her son John Vallance have to phone to order a Steak Pie shop people of East Kilbride at Alex shop Greenhill and the westwwod Square so have a great Xmas & New Year from the Vallance family

Always had great quality produce from this local butchers. Have been using this butcher since moving to EK in 2011. Great selection and value for money .
