Great butchers, I've had the sirloins, dressed crab, burgers and sausages so far and all very good at a fair price. Will definitely becoming a regular now

Wow. Just wow. Their sausage rolls are to die for. Very flaky pastry and fresh.

I only went in here because the pasties etc stood out from standing from outside the shop. Very reasonable price too.

We've been using DS Eagle for over 16 years and they have been excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff and a really good selection of fresh, quality meats. The ham, in particular, is delicious, it's cured by them and you really cannot get a better tasting ham.

We are so lucky to have such an excellent butcher in the village. The meat is of the highest quality and you are always treated like a valued customer. The butchers are knowledgeable and have given me some great cooking advice and tips.

We'd been looking for a quality butchers shop for years. They are unfortunately few left open since supermarket shopping. However D.S.Eagle is the real deal. Though it's in Writtle its only 10 minutes away from Melbourne Chelmsford and well within an acceptable distance away from Central Chelmsford.

Professional butchers, experts and very willing to create what you ask of them. It's a premium service so prices are at a premium. However, if possible, it's a worthwhile investment in quality, flavour and local small business. It's so much better meat, tracked all the way from the farm 🚜 to D.S. Eagle. Friendly helpful Professional butchers.
