We plan our journey from Wales to Devon to ensure we can stop by Pynes for a fabulous hog roast & once again they were happy to sell us a stash of delicious meat in a tray, topped with stuffing and apple sauce! Best hog roast meat you'll probably ever have!

If you are driving down the M5 - this place is worth a ten minute detour to feast on magnificent breakfast rolls & meat rolls for lunch. We popped in today purely by chance as in the area and wanted lunch. Glad we did - Hot pork with apple sauce,crackling & stuffing was amazing such great value, stacked full of yummy tender pork (£4.99). We also had a hot beef sub roll topped with gravy, again a fab amount of delicious beef (£5.99). They also have a roast dinner for a mere £7.99 - great value folks.

After eating our lunch we popped into the Shop - really good selection of meat, cheese, fish, veg etc... all the staff were really friendly & helpful.

Best butchers for miles staff super friendly and great choice of meat. The take away highly recommended with superb bacon 🥓 rolls. Just a mile from junction 24 of the M5. Great stop off if heading home from Devon or Cornwall. You know it makes sense.

I've been reading 'The Extra Mile' and it recommends places to stop off while travelling, instead of the usual service station. This cafe / farm shop / takeaway was a great stop. Very friendly service, good coffee, excellent hot and cold food selection to take away, plus a cafe, and farm shop food and drinks to buy. Toilet facilities and places to sit inside and out.

Delicious pork roll with nice coffee followed by a little shopping of smoked ham, fresh lamb, sausages, bacon and the best black pudding I have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Pyne's is an Aladin's cave of local produce. Great Butchers and fishmongers as well as an array of products. Takeaway kitchen is a must visit withfood from a Bacon roll to a weekday roast (with hog roast). Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Well worth calling in.

Bought some pork cracking skin, which i had never made myself before. The meat and pre slicing was brilliant. It turned out a great success. I will be going again before Xmas for crackling and brisket joint.

We use Pynes for all of our meat. Excellent quality, great service and reasonable prices. All the staff there are knowlegable and eager to help in anyway they can making it an enjoyable experience. Great choice of products from cheese, sauces, veg, cider and wine plus many more items. All locally sourced. The boss, Malcom, is always on hand too, very hands on. Ample free parking. They also have a takeaway food oulet as well. Give them a try, you won't be dissapointed....
