Not had caviar for nearly 2 weeks looool so I thought I'd treat myself to 50g. Fish Society offered free delivery for orders over £65. Some other companies want £22 just for delivery!!!
Caviar arrived the next day and lasted about 4 hours before I opened it and ate the lot.
The flavour is there!!!! You can definitely taste that it is good quality caviar. However, I have had other brands that would absolutely nail a 5 star.
Without a doubt I would order from here again though!

I would give four stars to my first order, but only one star to my second. All the products in my first order arrived perfectly frozen. However, in my second order, everything arrived thawed. I contacted them repeatedly, but received unsatisfactory responses. I will not order from them again.

Below was their response...

"We do appreciate your concerns - as long as you receive your items cold to the touch, as if they have been in a fridge, they are safe to consume and to freeze.
We do try our best to get items delivered hard frozen but we do not guarantee it."

"As my colleague Cassandra highlighted, we do always aim to have our products delivered frozen but inevitably there is always the possibility that things may arrive partially or fully defrosted.

If they were still cold to touch then they are perfectly safe to eat/freeze."

Update: emailed and still no reply. The company either lie or need to sort out their system.

Placed an order over £100 and found bug in the sashimi and got food poison. Emailed with photos, no reply. Left a review on their website also no reply. Never return.

Nice idea, but probably only worth it if you can collect. Let down by the box going 'missing' with DPD. They were very quick to provide a refund after exploring alternative options which in the end were not possible. I now have a problem to solve for tomorrow. Sadly I wouldn't use this company again via delivery, but it might be a different story if collecting from their location. No voucher provided to act as an apology and encourage me to try again.

Tried the naked extra large langoustines today. Ok but not great. Expensive for what they are but can live with that for a top product. A few were nicely taken from the shells but many were a bit ripped out with little care so each tail was in 3 or 4 bits. Some had cleaned intestines some not but that’s ok because getting them in a France would be just in the shells I cleaned. The texture was nice but then they were cooked by us. The delicate flavour was not the best we’ve had but we normally eat the in the shell unfrozen. All in all not bad but not outstanding. Guess it’s a trip to Scotland again. Wanted to check the quality before joining on a regular basis. Had others direct from Scotland that were better. You need to get the pickers to take better care and then they would be more whole. Delivery great. Thank you

Awful experiences, wish I had read these first. Two disastrous orders, never again.
1.DPD ‘lost’ my delivery. The fish people eventually accepted it and said they would send a replacement…but ‘forgot’ to do it. Classy….
2.Ordered 3x180g miso black cod fillets and was sent 3x130g pieces of fish each with 50g of juice. Unethical at best.
Customer service shockingly poor both times. Avoid fish fans.

Dreadful experience for my first (and only!) order with the Fish Society.
Spent £70 ordering fish for a big New Years Eve party, with it due to be delivered the day before, just to be safe.
Fish didn’t arrived on selected day and no communication to explain why not. When I contacted them, I was assured it would arrive before 1pm the next day.
Again, no communication, no fish. And this time, I couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone. So spent New Years Eve afternoon fighting the crowds in the shops trying to find alternative dinner plans.
Sent an email complaint. No response until I phoned up two days later to chase up my complaint.
Spoke to someone who apologised and said I’d be refunded, which felt like the least that could be done given the hopeless service and disruption to my New Year’s Eve plans.

Don't bother wasting your time or money, find a quality independent Fishmongers selling fresh British fish. Fish quality and life halves every 5⁰c above zero, so by the time the unrefrigerated fish reaches you it's well past it best and in shabby condition, very overpriced too considering a lot is frozen imported produce. Just avoid people. All the BS on the website about quality also speaks volumes of the lack of scientific understanding of how fish spoilage and quality is assessed.🤷
