Lovely lunch with my other half. Great service provided by Ursula, she was very friendly and attentive and she couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait very long at all. We'll definitely come here again very soon

An excellent location in a very vibrant town of Henley, the menu was full of great choices. However, our party of 10 had to wait more than reasonable time for our lunch. The hot starter was served on cold plates and had to ask to please at least warm the plates for the main course on a cold day. Most of the dishes were lukewarm warm but Laksa dish was just perfect.
The restaurant temperature was also a bit uncomfortably lower than we expected. The staff were polite and helpful but seemed a bit nervous and without smile!

We recently visited Banana Tree Henley, and our dining experience was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The atmosphere was vibrant and family-friendly, which made for a delightful outing with our kids.

We started off with the 2-for-1 Lychee Cooler, a refreshingly exotic drink that was the perfect way to kick off our meal. The flavors were beautifully balanced and felt like a real treat.

For the kids, we ordered the Chicken Nuggets Meal. The nuggets were crispy and well-seasoned, and our little ones absolutely loved them. It was great that the Orangutan Kids Menu offered a variety of options, and we were pleasantly surprised that kids eat free! The complimentary kids desserts were an added bonus that made the children smile.

The Chicken Satay Sharing Platter was a highlight — the tender chicken was covered in a deliciously rich and creamy satay sauce. The Papaya Salad was fresh and tangy, adding a nice crunch that complemented the meal perfectly.

We also had the Chiang Mai Se, Teriyaki Chicken, and Beef Rendang. Each dish was bursting with flavor, from the spicy and aromatic beef rendang to the savory teriyaki chicken. The Prawn Laksa was another standout, with a creamy and spicy broth that left us wanting more.

What a find this was for us! It was our first visit to Banana Tree in Henley with our family and it certainly did not disappoint.

It was bursting with lunch activity and we could see that it is quite popular amongst the locals. Lovely ambiance and atmosphere. The music wasn’t too loud so people could hold conversation whilst listening to the music in the background.

The menu is quite extensive and had many variety to choose from. 2for1 cocktails and mock tails were on offer which worked out perfectly for us. We ordered Lychee and Lime Cooler which was refreshing and sweet. Loved the extra Lychee treat.

Took us forever to decide what to order. Firstly we ordered their starters: Papaya Salad & Malaysian Satay Sticks. Both of them delicious!

For mains, I settled for their Tapas section and ordered Chiang Mai and hubby ordered Legendary Beef Rendeng. All I would say is the tummies were happy and satisfied.

Kids can eat free on Sundays which was a bonus for us. Kids menu is good with nice selection. The only thing I would say is the portion size for kids meal was quite small and we had to order twice. But overall, kids were satisfied.

The staff was very helpful but the order came quite slow, possibly because of a full restaurant. The only issue in Henley is the parking. It took us 40 minutes to find a space!

We would definitely be going back to Banana Tree to try the other options. Recommend prior booking and those who follow halal, you are in a for a treat!

It's been a year since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised this time around.

Very relaxed, casual and friendly.

The customer service was outstanding—efficient, professional, friendly, and attentive.

Food
We started with the Malaysian chicken satay, which was delicious and a noticeable improvement from my previous experience last year. For my main course, I ordered a Thai green curry with prawns but was served with chicken instead. However, it turned out to be a happy accident, as the curry was fantastic—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For dessert we had ice cream, which was great and refreshing.

I am rating as 4 stars as I generally reserve 5 stars for fine dining experiences, although this visit to Banana Tree was truly nice.

Love that one of my favourite places to eat in London now has opened in Henley! The food is fab with many options for vegans too! And the 2 for 1 cocktails add to the perfect meal! Special thanks to Fatima and Katy who served us! We went on the soft launch weekend where it was 50% off on food but definitely going back again even when full priced options!
